Finalizing Today!! ( WDW- Dec 08)

Hello everyone!!

I am SO addicted to this board! I called AAA and got a good price for our trip.
I also checked out the calendar of hours and what not for the time we will be there.
So I think we are going to stick with a Value, 5 days, dining plan, NO park hopper ( and if we feel like we need it we can add it later)
I want to get this all in since I have to start making dining ressie's soon!!!!!
Any one have tips on which value is best OR which area of rooms??
Should I book through D or through AAA?

First of all..... to the Dis. I can't help with any suggestions on value resorts, but as far as booking through Disney or AAA, I would say that's a matter of preference. We don't belong to AAA so I'm not aware of any specials and what not they offer, but I prefer to book directly through Disney so I have complete control over my ressie . If you book through a TA, they have to make any changes and answer any questions you might have since they "own" your ressie until you check in, as Disney won't talk to you about it . I'm sure someone will come along with suggestions on resorts . So with that said....have a great time planning . And I must say.....the addiction only gets worse . BUT....you will find lots of info here on the dis . So happy planning and have a great trip .

Ive stayed at All Star Music and its PERFECT. Calypso is the prefered set of rooms and theyre closest to the lobby and busses. Its a very quiet resort. I've never stayed at Pop but everyone here loves it (which makes me kind of wary as with the amount of people on here, it seems it would be crowded, noisy and crazy but I've never been so I cant say! ) but I vote for All Star Music and book through Disney its so much easier!

loved ASMu and ASMovies. Both were quite when we went. But i think ASMusic was less busy. But Movies was better for atmosphere and walking around the resort. both great choices

We stayed at the Pop last year and loved it. It is a really fun resort. They had activities in the lobby for the kids. My grandaughters did bowling and got a certificate and a prize. there is a twister game on the grounds that you can play Lots of fun things. We stayed in the 70's section which is perferred. Really close to the food court, hippity dippity pool and the bus stops. The Pop has their own bus to the parks. The All Star Resorts share with one another. We really liked the Pop, but are trying All Star Movies in 2009.
