When I made our reservations I requested a higher floor for both resorts (3 nights BLT/4 nights AKV Kidani).
I am considering requesting "close to bus stop" for AKV as well. Any thoughts on this?
Also, on another site I just read a thread where someone stated the park busses go to Jambo first. I have always read that the busses stop at Kidani first. Was that person mistaken?

For the parks, Kidani is first. For Downtown Disney, Jambo is first.

Do you have savannah view? I wouldn't request higher floor for Kidani, you may end up looking at the tops of trees. I would request close to bus stop if you don't have a car.

Shoot, sorry, should have said standard view at AKV-K. And we will not be using a car.
On another note...are there cabs waiting by the Kidani area? On one day we will want to get a cab to get to rope drop. Or do we have to go to Jambo to find one?

Standard view at Kidani will probably be a view of the parking lot. I would ask to be close to the Rafiki Elevator. That way you will be relatively close to the lobby/buses and also really close to the back entrance to the pool area. I would not request a high floor. With this choice you may even get a partial pool view.

Remember the more you request, the less the chance of getting what you want. Your requests are up to interpretation by a human and what you think is close to the bus stop, someone else may think isn't.

Lets say the you request close to bus stop, high floor. The room assigner has a room close to the bus but on the second floor. Since you wanted a high floor, it isn't a match.

Now if you only request close to bus stop, the odds of finding a room on one of the floors close to the bus stop is greater.
