Greetings everyone, I'm checking in from the Rochester airport getting ready to board my flight to Orlando (gotta love eTicket). This trip I'm heading down to cover WDW Marathon Weekend, and leading a group of college students on an alternative break volunteer trip to GKTW. Tiara Todd is joining me to help chaperone the students on the trip. Something new for me is I'll be staying off-property in one of the Dreams Villa. OK, next time I check in will be from Orlando where I think it will be a little warmer than here... maybe... just a little.

Hey Everyone: I just checked into my Dream Villa. The place is great. It's huge, clean, and really well-appointed. I don't want to say too much since I'm probably not totally unbiased as a Special Correspondent, but John really went the extra mile in this place. It's going to be great for the week. Plus, it's incredibly close to GKTW. I'm very excited.

Here's our home for the next week.

I should also say that we rented a second villa (not through DreamsVillas) here in this same complex - because we couldn't all fit in one Villa, and the other DreamsVillas were all booked. I can't get into that Villa until Sunday. I'm curious to see how that one is. I hope it's as nice.

OK, I have to run to Sam's Club, pick up some stuff.

ETA: I'm heading out to Wolfgang Puck's Express to meet some of my WISH running friends for dinner.

Yes, I got talked into running the half Paul. I'm not really trained for it - so we'll see how it goes. It's going to be really cold... and early... and cold...

Good Evening Everyone: I'm settling into my DreamVilla for the evening. Man vs. Food is on the TV. I just got back from dinner with some of my running friends who are running in the races this weekend. We met at Wolfgang Puck's Express in Downtown Disney. It was great to see these friends again. We support each other on the WISH forum throughout the year, and get together for a race once or twice a year. So it's great when we can finally get together.

I'm amazed at how cold it was getting once the sun set.

Downtown Disney was pretty crowded, and I saw lots of runners around. They still had their Christmas decorations up which made it really pretty.

Wolfgang Puck's was crowded with a lot of runners carboloading.

The food was pretty good, but I have to say I didn't pay too much attention to it. The food was secondary to the company.

OK, well I need to turn in for the evening. I'm getting up very, very early in the morning to run the half marathon.
