First of all, Taking the Greyhound was not as bad as one would expect.
Yes there is riffraff at the stations and on the busses. but get in line early and
get a full sit with part of your party. Jenny and I always had our own sit even on full busses so not too bad. Yes the ride was long and tiresome, but hey we were on our way to
Disney world. By choice I would fly, but remember greyhound has some good prices and
does get one to orlando. (ok maybe not with the recent bus crash, but that can happen on
a plane or just driving) If you do travel by greyhound, bring snacks and drinks on board, plus pillows and a blanket (can get cold with the air conditioner.

Ok Second tip, if your child is nine and you are trying to buy a pass for them take id for the child to show the birthdate. We upgraded her 6 day hopper plus to the annual and the man
thought she said she was ten. I told him to ask her birthdate and year. He did, but I don't think e was completely convinced she was 9. Honestly she is only 9. He made me feel like I was cheating disney , but I knew i wasn't. Ended up with the child annual pass.
Walked away after upgradee both passes, and realized the date of purchas was the expire dates, so returned and another CM corrected it with no problem.

The day of travel, (not sure about flying) but if taking a greyhound or driving I would recommend having a nice dinner and resting up that night before hitting the parks. Our first mistake. We arrived at 5 AM, had the room shortly after 6am showered and napped till about noon. Still not completely rested up and excited to go see Mickey mouse.
So we headed to the parks for a while, had dinner at Chef Mickeys, and stayed for the second rparade at MK. (big mistake as far as we were already exhausted and didn't take the time to rest up) Excellent view of parade and would never do the first parade again.

Always check the camera shop at MK for characters, we found so many different characters in there with no line it was unreal From four princess, prince john, donald a duck from duck tales, Gov rratcliff, preist from robin hood, and i know there were more but don't remember who right now.

Oh Shoes boy I wished I had my old comfy shoes with m. Even if there were old dirty and ugly. I have wore the same brand and style of shoe for over three years due to my back. Reebok walking shoes. Never have had a blister even with the new ones. I buy a new pair at least twice a year if not more often. (really hard on shoes) anyways I had purchased a new pair for the trip, DD kept telling me to wear them in and I knew I should have but time got away and I didn't. The first day I had a major blister on my heal. The second day Had a bigger, blister on my little toe between the little toe and the next toe. (never thought you could get blisters between toes. Went to first aid to get bandages since the gift shop at the resort was all out and they said just keep the bandages on them. Boy at this point I wish I had payed more attention to the moleskin posts. and found out what that was all about. Someone please give me all the details about that moleskin. I could have used it. So make sure no brand new shoes and take an extra pair with you. (Dummy me dind't take an extra pair of snickers just sandals for water parks).

Enight, not sure about other nights but the start of the enight we went the lines were up to about thirty minutes long. Austinsmommy said the other night they done enight a few nights before didn't have any lines. She rode big thunder mountian three times without getting off. Anyways after the two rides we had with austinsmommy and her family, jenny decided she was extremely tired. I fed her and tried to give her a break but didn't work so we went back to the resort. Probably missed some good riding time. Anyways, the point is make sure you rest up the little ones so they don't have a major meltdown right after enights starts.

Other than this the only thing I can say is take plenty of water or money to buy water and drinks. Remember cups of ice is free. Always kept ice in mugs hanging from our fanny packs then on the way back to the room the mugs was handy for our free refills.

Overall we had a once in a lifetime trip. Just a girls trip, me and jenny. Next trip DH will go with us or another name for him is the pack mule and video camera user.
If jenny was tired we tried to rest or swim. If jenny wanted to do something that is what we did. I followed her lead. With all the planning ahead of time, most blew out the window because jenny wanted to go to a different park or do something else.

Already planning for next trip. (funny thing happened yesterday, We went to buy school supplies and clothes for jenny to start school this morning We were looking at the back packs and jenny came across a fanny pack that was perfect. Square shaped just right for autograph book and camera. Guess what we did. Yes we bought it for our next trip. so now we can start planning for next trip either in december march or late may or early june.
