Final season of ER - Dr Ross to make a guest appearance!!

Now what I want to know is why Carter came to County for dialysis. I mean, it's obviously not the safest hospital, what with all the stabbings, shootings, and renegade helicopters. And generally, county hospitals don't have the best reputations. I find it kind of odd that he couldn't find a good dialysis place where he was living. Although did he actually have a homestead or did he get off the plane from Africa and came to Chicago? And why did he decide to come back to Chicago? So many questions, and no answers as yet.

:lmao: I think you might have missed a few ambulance accidents in the receiving area as well? lol

Actually, for whatever reason, I didn't think Carter was at County when he was receiving his treatment.

He's at Northwestern and that's where he sees Dr. Benton.

Tonight is the night!!! Clooney returns to ER...I am soooo excited..anyone else?? :cool1:

I didn't realize Clooney would be on tonight, but I will be happy to see him. I was so excited the last time he appeared. It wasn't but just a glimpse of him, but I would have been so mad if Hathaway had went to live with him and we didn't even see him. That was so long ago.

I am watching the reruns on TNT. They started over and today was episode #2. It is wild seeing how much their ER has changed over the years, how many people were there from the first episode, etc. I don't know what I will do when this season ends. I guess all I can do is keep watching the reruns. Hope everyone enjoys!

Only 4 shows left...I will miss it when it goes off the air.

I thought they would save all the doctors coming back for the last show but that is not the case. I hope they don't have Dr. Carter die.

Can't wait until tonight.

I bet the writers will make the final show a mirror of the first show, with the current cast being the seasoned physicians, and new interns, etc. on staff.

This show has been so "good" at throwing the viewers off - showing the end of the show first, showing it in documentary format, etc.

It would tick me off if they ended it like that, but I couldd so see it!

I don't think they are going to have Carter die b/c I read in an Entertainment Weekly article that the writers didn't want to cheese it up by having everyone come back to County General for a funeral, or the hospital shutting down, or some other reason that would feel too contrived.

Edited to add: After reading further, I decided that if someone is writing about what they read as the plot of the final episode in a TV Guide, then this can't really be a spoiler, either.

Heard on the radio today that there are 4 more episodes left and that April 2nd is to be the finale with Clooney in THAT episode. I am not sure of course but that is what they were saying :thumbsup2

Only 4 more, :sad1: that makes me sad! I am loving this season but so sad o see it go~

I read in next week's TV Guide that Dr. Green will be in the last episode, but it won't be Dr. Mark Green, but his daughter Rachel. She's be reporting for her internship. I think that'll be neat.

So, she followed her doctor dad, instead of her lawyer mom :thumbsup2

What a great way to come full circle! I wonder if it will be the same actress who played Rachel when we last saw her in 2004, Hallee Hirsh?

I thought last night's episode was great. It almost seemed like Doug, Carol, and Benton had never been gone. I loved the scenes with Carter and Benton.

that doesn't jive with the episode description I read for the 4/2 episode. I'd love it if that's the case .. last night's show was SOOOO good!!!

I should have been a tv writer!

I did like last night's episode - but I wish, when Doug was asking about old timers, that one of the 2 would have mentioned Carter - he was there during the time Carrie Weaver was - and seemed to have turned the ER upside down when he returned, so I don't understand why they didn't ask if he knew him!

Sam and Neela are so "new" and Carter hasn't been around much with them, they didn't make the connection. Anyway, I kind of like the way all of their lives intersected again without Doug, Carol, and Carter even realizing it. It reminds me of the early episodes when not everything had to be wrapped up neatly. Lets the viewer use their imagination and fill in the blanks.

I agee that that didn't make sense. I kept expecting them to ask about Carter, but maybe that's what the writers wanted.

Loved last night's show. Haven't seen it in a couple years but watched just to see the people who had left.

I like that they didn't ask about Carter .. it would have made it seem a little more soap opera-ish .. you know, a race for the clock to get the kidney there? I did think it was weird, though. But it worked with the episode.

Here's the Wikipedia entry for Season 15:

Loved Benton and Carter together last night! I so hope that Kim will show up and there is a happy ever after for Carter!! He's always been my favorite.
