Final Payment Question

I just received my confirmation in the mail and it says the final payment is due 11/1/06. We booked with the AP rate, but we don't travel until 11/22/06. When did this policy start? We hve never paid the balance in full before arrival- it has always been charged to us when we arrive.

I came on to find out about the same thing. When I originally booked our room only it showed the payment due on check-in date. Now the new confirmation shows "package", due on the 13th of next month.

I booked trips for myself and my brother's family in January (traveling in Nov). They told us then that our balance was due like 45 days before our trip.

But when booking an AP rate it is not supposed to be a pcakge policy. I am flipping mad and am going to call Disney now and demand an explanation! The Cm on the phone even told me when he gave me the new confirmation # that my balance was due on ARRIVAL! GRRRR

Ok, called CRO, its a computer glitch. When she pulled up both my ressies, it showed they were payable ON ARRIVAL. The computers at CRO have it right, the printed confirmations are WRONG. She said that there have been quite a few calls today on this, and shes checked every ressie and they have all been right in the computer.
Whew! I will probably call back in a few days to confirm but boy do i feel better now! I about fainted when i saw how much i had to come up with in less than a month!

I got the same thing - full payment due 10/28 for a Thanksgiving trip. On hold with them now . . .

Okay, what Zachary told me was that two things are going on: the tax rate change messed up some reservations and also, in my case, we were originally booked at a different resort and when the AP rates came out we switched and for some reason those are showing up on these confirmation letters wrong. His exact words were, "You have nothing to worry about, pay the balance when you arrive on the 18th."

So I hope this is correct! I'd hate to come on 11/18 and find out we've been cancelled for not paying the entire thing! Hope no one else has this issue.
