Yeah, I know that I should really know this but, I was wondering when the final payment for the cruise is normally due. 60 days? 90 days?

Are there any advantages to paying now instead of waiting?

You can make excursion ressies if you are paid 90 days out. Not sure when they are actually due, as I plan to shoot for that 90 day mark.

That is what they say, you can make ressies at 90 days if you are paid in full, but you don't HAVE to pay in full until 75 days out.

BUT...I recently made ressies for excursions 90 days out and paid 60 days out (before the policy changed to 75 days out) and they didn't ask any questions. I was prepared to pay, if they wanted me to, but they never asked, so I didn't.

I'm pretty sure that it's recently been changed from 60 days to 75.

I had booked in May with the 60 day mark, but my TA called in October and told me that they had changed it to 75. I could have waited for the 60 day because I was "grandfathered at the old date" but others were allowed to book their excursions (you can do this once you are paid in full) and was afraid that I would miss out, so paid in full then.

I booked my excursions 90 days out and my cruise is not paid in full till 60 days out with no problem through DCL.
