Our cruise is in 12 days....when will our final paers/documentation or tickets for the ship arrive by mail?

I received our packet about a month ahead. I'll be using the luggage tags provided, but didn't see anything absolutely necessary for the cruise... You can get luggage tags at the port also. It is fun to get the packet!- all the planning and waiting - and now I have proof its really happening!!!...but if you checked in online and print out the docs that need to be signed ( which I think can be provided at check in also, if you forget) you will be good!

Have a great cruise!!!!!

We received the book with luggage tags, embarkation information, etc.
That's all you will get from DCL. However, you really don't need anything they mail to you. Do the online check-in and print what it tells you to print.

Hate to say it but I got one HECK of grilling at Miami port because I didn't have the spiral bound booklet - I printed everything (had those forms) but the person screening for entrance to the port wanted to SEE that book...

I've always been asked for the spiral book to be opened to the first page and for the printed out papers.

And I was just the opposite of you. Had done my online check in as soon as I could and figured I'd print the papers closer to sailing date so I wouldn't misplace them. I can't remember when exactly when I went to print them but it was within the week of sailing and I want to say it was three days before but at that point you cannot print the papers (SO BE SURE TO PRINT THEM IF YOU HAVEN"T ALREADY). Because I had done online check in, the spiral book did not have the forms included. Yet Miami port security was happy to see the book and said that was what they really needed anyway. I don't know why it matters as both have the sail date and your name which is what port security is checking for. Only the cruise line itself needs to worry about your "payment" and "contact" information. I think if you sail out of Port Canaveral at Disney's own terminal it would be less of an issue.

Interesting. We were in Miami for our cruise in Oct and I had forgotten everything except the pages I printed out after online enrollment. Including the luggage tags. I gave our cabin number to the luggage guys and they wrote it down on new tags. showed the pages I printed out and our passport before going thru security. No one asked for the booklet. I can't remember ever taking my booklet out of my carryon for all the cruises we have been on.

I have never been asked for anything except my ID to get into the terminal at PC. And you do not need the booklet they mail you, and you do not need to check in online. Both make life easier, the booklet is really a nice personalized trip planner, and you feel better that you have something physical to hold, but you don't need the book. Checking in online saves some time at the port, but again you don't have to do it.

You can call DCL (or call your TA, hope you used one that answers the phone) for them to reassure you about your booking and that all is in order, but don't worry if the paperwork doesn't show up in the mail until what seems like the last minute. You don't need it. Even the luggage tags it comes with you don't need, the porters have a pocketful at the port (do remember your cabin number).

Enjoy

On our cruise out of San Juan last week there were multiple announcements in both English and Spanish telling passengers to have their passports and cruise books available for inspection before we could enter the terminal. Security verified our passports against the passenger information page, and then we went through baggage x-ray. I don't recall the books being required before. I don't know what happened to those who didn't have their books.

Same. Also the same for PC with Royal and Port Everglades with Royal.

Tourists forget stuff all the time. As long as you know what ship you're getting on and have your proper-for-that-trip ID, no matter the questions you might be asked, you're fine.

The OP already received the booklet with luggage tags. Nothing more is coming in the mail.

We haven't always been asked, but we have had to show the spiral book at San Pedro, San Diego, and a couple of times in Port Canaveral.

I can't recall whether we had to show it in Barcelona or not.
