FINAL Illuminations Dessert Arrangements - UPDATED POST #1 8/8/06

I know that the Illuminations Dessert Party begins at 8:30pm and there was talk about meeting by the UK Fish 'n Chips Resaurant. What time are we meeting at the UK Fish 'n Chips? Do we meet at 8:30pm or do they escort us from there to the Dessert Party at 8:30pm I appoligize if this has already been discussed and I missed it.

Hi Karen

Since our event starts at 8:30, I would suggest gathering near the UK area around 8:15 or 8:20. That way we can assemble and be ready for our escort as soon as they are ready for us. If anyone ends up a little late, don't worry - there will still be a CM there to escort you into the party. They actually have a person who "stands guard" over the pathway down to the terrace to ensure that no one "crashes" the party and they will be the one who will let you in if you arrive late.

Just as an FYI - we ended up with a final number of 61. I think that is an amazing turnout and I hope it is a fun time for all involved.

Can't wait to see everyone - it will be here before we know it!!

Quick question - what do we have to do to get admitted into Epcot? We paid for the event only admission. Is there a special ticket?

Hi Pat.

For the 4 people on my list who paid for "event only admission" I have submitted those names to the catering manager at WDW. Those people will need to meet at the front entrance to Epcot (not the International Gateway). There will be a person there carrying those "light saber" looking sticks that will have your names and will escort the group to the party at the UK terrace. If you have any problems locating the correct person, go to the guest services window and they should be able to radio someone to meet you.

For anyone who wants to keep this information on hand, the party is listed as the "Marathon Group Dessert Party" with me, Rhonda Hare, listed as the main contact. The event is taking place on the lower UK terrace (just to the side of the Fish & Chips take-out area in the UK pavillion). Our catering manager is Sue Smith. You can call me on my cell if you have a problem that night at 214-334-6807 and I'll do what I can to help.
