What are some ideas for a final day when you are leaving early to mid afternoon and don't want to go into a park? I will be with DH and teen sons. TIA!

We went to Downtown Disney but we had a bit more time than it sounds like you have. We had to check out by 10am and were just a street away so were pretty much at Downtown when it opened. We went to Design a Tee to create our own tshirts then shopped the other stores, went back to get our tees (45 minutes) had a late lunch at T-Rex then were done with downtown and actually went and found the character warehouse at the outlet mall before heading back to the airport. We found downtown to be very nice in the early part of the day and we were really glad we went as we love our tees we designed ourselves! I think we were there from 10-3 but that could have been shortened up if our reservation for T-Rex was earlier than 1:45pm.

We usually use the final morning for shopping at DTD/Disney Springs. (I was impressed with some of the items they had when we were there in May.) We also used to eat at Chef Mickey's that last morning when the kids were younger. It was our way of saying goodbye to WDW.

Splitsville at Downtown Disney is an awesome way to pass the time. You can bowl and have lunch at the same time. Where you bowl, you have a booth and a waiter comes to your table and you can order anything from pizza to burgers to sushi! It's awesome!!

Downtown Disney sounds like a great idea!

Visiting Chef Mickey on the final day also sounds like a wonderful tradition!

We just hang out at the resort. We sleep in then go for a swim. Go back to the room to pack. Depending on our flight time we will check out, get our bags to airline check in, then get some lunch before heading to the ME bus. If our flight is later in the afternoon we have sometimes gotten late check out to give us more time in the room before lunch. Late check out is possible depending on how busy it is. We tend to travel during the week so our departure day is not on a big arrival day. We have tried to go other places on departure day but it stresses my DW too much worrying about missing the ME bus. Cheers!!!!!
