do you settle your bill along with finalizing tips the day you leave the ship or the day before? Trying to figure out what day Disney charges you. appreciate the help

The tips go on your bill on the day before you leave the ship...Just in case you want to increase any of them. I am not sure when they actually charge your credit card

As PP mentioned, tips go on your account by the last full day of the cruise. You are welcome to stop by Guest Services and adjust that figure at any time (not just after they appear on your account), and you also have the option to add cash to the tip envelopes.

There is no official "check-out" day or time when you must stop at Guest Services to settle the account. You provide info during online check-in as to how you'd like your onboard account handled (cash, credit card) and that is followed unless you request a different method of payment while onboard. As for charging your card... that can depend on your amount of spending and the length of cruise. I'm not sure the limits, but I believe DCL will charge your credit card once your onboard account has hit a certain figure -- maybe $500 for shorter cruises and higher for longer cruises. That includes tips, excursions, dining or beverages and any other purchases made onboard. If you have cash or gift cards you wish to use, it's advised to stop by Guest Services earlier in the cruise so those are used before charges are put through to your credit card.

How do you go about pre paying your tips before your cruise? Also, can you give them a "pre paid" credit card? DH and I try not to use credit cards at all and I'm not sure how I feel about having the account linked to my debit card. Thanks!
