I know, like the last thread some of you will think this is nuts but people wanted me to post about the results when we got them back.
Doc said Butter had cardiomyopethy (sp???) with the version being his heart cavity and muscles were not strong (there are two types - one where the muscles just degress and weaken and another where the walls get corroded and hard). He said that this is probably what was going on a year and a half ago when he first thought he heard a heart murmur. He said generally this can take a cats life within about 2 1/2 years after finding problems. Along with the problems we had after having his teeth cleaned - it just quickened his death basically - which I said was probably good because who knows when this would have happened (his death) and doc said that he would have probably had to have been put on meds until he died and we would have seen him slowly going - which would not have been pleasant.
So in a way - this was God's way of taking him so he didn't have to suffer for a prolonged period of time (not any longer than he was suffering and I indeed think he was).
Thanks for the hugs from the other animal lovers out there...it has been hard on my family but has helped!
