Back story - Surprise trip for my mom for her 70th birthday, It will just her and I, and also our 1st mother daughter trip.

We are staying at CBR, we will be checking in very early 8:00 am ish, my parents live in FL about 45 min's away from Mickey and the gang. I know that the rooom might not be ready. I have planned to take a break if we need to head back and put our stuff in the room.


1st day/ Check in - will be our Epcot Day,
11ish lunch - World Show Case - what ever QS she wants to try or maybe a sit down?? Suggestion
7:05 pm dinner at Coral Reef - Suggestion on where to go to watch the fireworks from this location

2nd Day - MK day
8:30 Breakfast at CP - got lucky to snag one before the park opens
Lunch - Cosmic Rays,- we always ate here when we can as a family when I was a kid, and my Mom was here last when my DD was about 4 or 5- she is now 23,
6:30 - Dinner - Plaza -

3rd day - AK day -

Breakfast - 9:00 am Rainforest

lunch - need suggestion for a QS -

Dinner 8:10 - Chef Mickey's

4th day/ Checkout - HS - Day
Breakfast - Kona - not sure about this
any suggestions -
Lunch - thinking about SCi Fi??

I know that I have 2 character meals, but my mom has never eaten at one, we always ate QS when I was a kid. She has seen pic's of the meals that I have had with my family at TS and Character meals, she always says I would love to do that. So I am making this trip aobut her.

Sounds like a wonderful trip!
I think she would get a kick out of Sci-Fi, eating "in the car" and watching those corny B-movie shorts and old ads. I find the food to be decent, too.

What time of year are you going?

You may want to try Be Our Guest for QS lunch on your MK day, unless you are set on Cosmic Rays for sentimental reasons.

Sorry I can't give more input, as we have never been to Coral Reef or Kona, but wanted to give my 2 cents on Sci-Fi Dine In Theater!

Yes Be Our Guest would be a great experience for her. Kinda shows how much Disney has evolved over the years. But if that's to pricey I say go with Cosmic Ray's (which happens to be a favorite in our family too!). They have the variety of foods for everyone to choose from and a show performed by Sonny Eclipse.

For Lunch at Epcot Teppan Edo is great! the food is delicious and they cook right there in front of you. Plus it's entertaining!
