(Final 8/12)The WILDEST Ride in the Wilderness!" Princess Half Marathon TR/Feb.2014

No...I wrote my notes on the wrong PTR page! You are thinking now that I am drinking. Apparently my mind is all over the place when I am dealing with your PTR & TR! Ugh...I promise I really am not that scattered. I was trying to catch up on all my threads...

Well it's awesome to know that I'm not the only one that looks drunk most of the time when she's not! :lmao:

Now Karen, if Tammie feels the need to contact me through your tr, then so be it??? Right??!! :lmao:

Love the update and I cannot wait to see all the beautiful pictures of the Beach Club --- my dream resort! Why oh why didn't Savannah catch that smooth move of yours in the animation studio on film? That would have been a classic! I must say that your Olaf drawing is very, very good!!! Great job!

How's Sapphire doing? :dog:

I would like to think I fell gracefully...but I didn't! Thank goodness I had my Sparkleskirt on with trusty SHORTS underneath because I'm pretty sure everyone got a show! :scared:

Sapphire is doing well, thanks for asking! She has a yeast infection in her ears (ick!) and they took some blood to see if there might be another reason for her panting, but I won't get the results for a couple days. They are thinking thyroid b/c she's gained 10 pounds in less than a year??? (her food is measured and has not changed!) but she seems a bit better since we have been treating her ears so possibly she was panting a ton b/c it hurt? I know, my answer was a bit long for such a simple question. Sorry!

I love the animation class. We did it twice in January and once time... we got to draw the Olaf too! Sorry you fell though... that couldn't have been the highlight of your day. ;)

Love the photos you took on the way to BCV! I can't wait to see more. :goodvibes

Your answer was perfect! Our furry (and feathered) pets are our family, so it's good to be concerned! Well, I'm glad to hear she's feeling better!

There are a LOT! I woke up early one morning and walked around the resort getting a bunch of shots! I will say that I didn't get many/any of Stormalong Bay though...but more on that later! There's a story behind it!

Thanks Ann!

WHERE IS MY DRUNKENMOCKINGBIRDSUPERGOLDENSPAZZAJAZZIRITCUPCAKEMARGARITAJAMBOTWEEDLE?!?!?!?!

I mean, it's not like she just got home from vacation and had to go back to work, catch up on laundry, upload photos, and throw herself back into LIFE. :rolleyes1 Apparently I'm going to becoming a NEEDYTWEEDLE now. :rotfl2:

And the way you can tell I'm definitely confused between my trip report and my PRE trip report is color. Here I've been responding in Royal Blue, which is my PTR color, not Dark Orchid, like I should be because that's my trip report color.

Uh yeah. Meds could be in order.

We arrived in the lobby area of Beach Club Villas and went straight to the concierge desk. I had actually asked about this because I was unsure where you check in at BCV, there doesn't really seem to be a lobby/check in that is obvious, just the concierge desk! And what a concierge he was! He was FABULOUS and so friendly, the girls were enchanted. He oooh-ed and Ahhh-ed over the girl's nail polish painted magicbands and explained that I needed to just call for my luggage and be in the room when they brought it...and sent us on our way. Easypeasy!

The entry foyer area. Hard to get a shot of it b/c I didn't have a wide angle lens. The concierge desk was to the left and the elevator a bit to the right of the Breezeway.

We went up one floor and turned to the right to head down a LONG hallway!
WDWPrincesshalf00485a.jpg

So far the decor was nice. I liked the light colors, LOVED the shiny floors and Breezeway look...the flowery carpet was a bit...uh...flowery...for my taste, but it was nice! ;)

We found our room and I was slightly disappointed to see it was on the right side of the hallway (meaning no pool view like I had requested). It was lovely and spacious!
WDWPrincesshalf00488.jpg

Savannah was a little taken back, she liked the decor and thought it was really pretty (girl loves her floral!) but said it didn't FEEL as much like Disney as Pop. Well, that happens when you don't have giant rainbow characters in your face Savannah. ;)

WDWPrincesshalf00490.jpg

LOOOOVED the space, the kitchen area and dressing area outside the MUCH larger bathroom than Pop. Ahhhh, we could spread out! (and wait until you see how these girls spread out later on. They had so much stuff in that dressing area, it was insane!)

I spotted some Disney though!
WDWPrincesshalf00486.jpg

Ah...my FAVORITE park of Deluxe resorts! The balcony!!! I LOVE balcony's. They come in handy not only when I want to just relax but also when I want to drink my coffee in peace and write in my journal at ungodly hours of the morning when normal people are sleeping! ;)
WDWPrincesshalf00489.jpg

I threw open the door and immediately knew something was a bit off...
WDWPrincesshalf00492.jpg

WDWPrincesshalf00491.jpg

It was loud. :confused3 The balcony overlooked a ROAD. Now, before you start thinking I'm one of THOSE people, ya know, the ones that complain about a string on the carpet or a seam in their blanket being crooked...I'm NOT one of those people. In fact, I tend to put up with most things and brush them off as no biggie. I don't like conflict, so I won't usually complain...and I didn't. But man, that road just sucked the Disney right outta me. :sad2:

There were TRUCKS driving back and forth on it, I suspect delivering stuff...all.the.time. It was loud and not really the peaceful relaxing space I had come to know of Disney Deluxe balconies. BUT...I will admit that my last balcony was AKL overlooking the savanna and I don't think ANY view would have come close to that.

Regardless, it didn't really matter. Little did I know at the time that almost every single time I had that I could go on the balcony, it was raining the rest of our trip anyway! Irony! :lmao:

I did think it was still a pretty view, just hated the noise and I could hear it with the doors closed as well.
WDWPrincesshalf00493.jpg

Overall, I LOVED the room. It was spacious, clean, had a little Disney and was comfortable. One great thing about it was that when we went looking we realized that the elevator down to the quiet pool (and shortcut through the Breezeway) was just around the corner! At least we didn't have to go all the way down the long hallway if we didn't want. That was really nice!

Since we had no bags and were starving, we just put our suits on that we had been carrying in our park bags and headed down to Stormalong Bay to eat and spend the afternoon in the sun! WOOT! :woohoo:

Up next, lunch with the birds and architects that don't have injured-sore-half-marathon-knees in mind when they build swimming pool areas!

Yay, Olaf. That came out good

The vision of you falling off chair cracked me up, sorry :rotfl2:

That's a bummer on your view at beach club. Their pools looks incredible there:goodvibes

DVC rooms are so weird. How much each room cost per point... what categories there are per resort are just odd in my mind. When you first said that you had requested a room I thought :scrachin I wonder if you hadn't booked that room category and that is why. But at BCV there is not specific garden or pool category. Some, like OKW have a category near the main building. So weird...

Anyway, I am sorry you didn't get the one you hoped for but it does look like a pretty enough view even if it was loud.

Now I understand why you asked me about OKW and not feeling "disney" enough. So Savannah felt that way about BCV. I can see it... I mean comparing it to Pop or AoA definitely it doesn't feel as disney.

I am here! I am here! I have returned to my other Tweedle Half.

I was all set with my trusty new Mickey Cruise Tervis Tumbler to fill up with water to settle into a nice morning of catching up on DIS when my job had the NERVE to go haywire the week I was gone!!! W T F (will spaces not bleep me out?). How rude!

Here I am neglecting my poor Jazzarit Tweedle when she so graciously waited to post her TR all for the 'man' who uses and abuses me. AKA- my job.

I thought about quitting. Reason: Unable to catch up on DIS posts during work hours. But then figured.. shoot, how will I afford to meet my Tweedle if I do that. So I better suck it up and so the work they pay me to do.

And THAT is my way over explained reason for absence that you really don't care about. You are welcome for boring you. You can wake up now.

I will now proceed to finish reading your updates. And contemplate maybe finishing MY never-ending TR so I can start the one where I didn't get eaten by sharks. Ooh. I think I just came up with my title.

Also- P.S- So funny about the chair. I am the friend that would first make sure you were not crying because you actually broke something. Then once I determined you were not seriously injured...I would take a picture of it..while laughing and helping you up.

Also, once in high school I leaned over to grab something in my desk and the whole desk toppled over the front. In a similarly embarrassing situation. Just thought I'd give my Dum moment to your Dee one.

Yes, I thought the Beach Club had a few too many flowers in the decorating for me. It reminded me of my mom's kitchen in 1988. I liked the Yacht Club colors/décor better. I think if I ever stay there again, it will be at the Yacht Club.

And boo.......on the balcony view. We truly had pixie dust with our view at the BC. I loved it!

Heehee! My Tweedle!!!!! :goodvibes Ok, all is right with the world now.

I figured you were slammed with work. It's an unspoken rule...you get back from vacation and you are slammed with work and all sorts of other things that make you feel like you need to take another vacation immediately! ;)

WHOOHOOO for GSC tickers! Now we can argue over who has the correct ticker...mine says 8 months 9 days. :p

I'm so so very glad you weren't eaten by a shark! :lmao:

I thought I used Thursday?!?! OMG, I swear, I always get my tickers wrong and have to change them after they have already moved so much! :badpc:

February 19th is Thursday, not 18th! :duck:

BTW, that's the Chinese New Year. Do you guys do something with Charlie on that day???

It's totally ok, I was laughing when it happened! What else can you do when you fall on your a** in front of a room of people! :p

More on the pool at Beach Club coming up!

Well, I'm not exactly sure how it went with the room request. My friend Lisa gifted us the two nights from her points and called to make the reservation, so she put in the request for me. I think I requested quiet pool view and top floor...but I forget now. That was another reason I didn't say anything because WHO COMPLAINS about anything when they are given a room?!?! I felt so grateful to be able to stay there and it felt petty to care what room I was actually put in. :)

Savannah has been to Disney World five times in her life and out of those times, four of them she stayed at Pop. Once we were offsite in a house and she hated it. So, Pop pretty much equals DISNEY for her, so this was just a departure from the norm.

Yes, I thought the Beach Club had a few too many flowers in the decorating for me. It reminded me of my mom's kitchen in 1988. I liked the Yacht Club colors/décor better. I think if I ever stay there again, it will be at the Yacht Club.

Haha! Yes, 1988! I didn't get the chance to go over to Yacht Club, but I've seen photos and I think I would enjoy the decor a bit more there too. I'm not sure I would actually stay there (more rambling on that later when I talk about BCV atmosphere)

And boo.......on the balcony view. We truly had pixie dust with our view at the BC. I loved it!

I KNEW we would not have a huge balcony like you guys did, but I couldn't help looking up at yours longingly when I was at the quiet pool! I was pretty sure from the pics and your description which one was yours. ;)
