Filming the Christmas parade...

I've seen they will be filming for the Christmas parade on 12/2 (I think) and 12/3 (for sure). The blurb said main street would be closed off, they'd be directing people to the 'alleys' behind the shops to get into the park.

Has anyone been in MK on these days? Is it harder to get around? What is the deal?

It is harder to get around Main Street but in past once you are off Main Street the park itself is usually great. A lot of people avoid MK on these filming days so the park tends to be less crowded than on other days in December. They will have the shops open on MS so you can walk through the shops as well as a pathway behind the crowd to walk (just like the do for any parade)...if it gets too congested they will also open the path behind the Tomorrowland side of Main Street, it goes from Tony's Town Square Restaurant behind the MS buildings and comes out by the Plaza Restaurant at the end of the street (they use this on really busy Spectro nights as well to move the crowds). You also have the option of using the train to get to the back of the park and avoid the chaos all together. But again once you are off Main Street you will not be affected by the filming.
