We were at POFQ Sunday at around 2pm and there appeared to be some sort of commercial being filmed. There was a young woman (early 20s?) in shorts and a tank top, who I think refered to herself as "Jackie" in the commercial, and another woman costumed in bright clothing with huge puffy hair and mardi gras beads/masks. The scene was very short, maybe 30 seconds and went something like this.
Jackie: "Hi, i'm Jackie, and I am at POFQ...lets see if there is anyone around we can talk to?"
Mardi Gras Woman: (pretending to stumble onto the scene) "Why hello."
Jackie: "Oh wow, hi, you look great! Are you ready for a party?"
Mardi Gras Woman: (offers her some type of pastry off of a plate) "...Would you like to try one?"
Jackie: "Oh these are great."
Pretty much that was the end of the scene. They did like 3 or 4 takes. All of the film crew were telling "Jackie" she had done such a good job. Jackie didn't really seem like an actress (not like she was a new Stacey they were filming) she seemed more like a park guest that they had doing this. After Jackie and a guy who looked like he was her boyfriend (he had been with her when she arrived, and was holding her sweater) walked off with a cast member, and the crew was cleaning up the scene area, there was a more official looking guy (the director of the commercial maybe??) talking on his cell phone and I got the impression from what he was saying, that maybe they were doing several of these commercials, maybe with different people trying out the part, and he wasn't really happy with any of the takes so far.
Any one else catch this taking place?
