OK so I have no idea what they are called but I have read about shops in DTD that have stations where you fill up a container with as many things as you can for one flat price. (I recall Pototo Head parts....)

Please share what different stations you know if and what store they are in. Oh and if you recall the approx price. This sounds like something fun for the kids to do!

Mr Potato Head can be bought for $20. You can also get him at the store in Toon Town by the Judge's Tent. And I know you could get him at the Pop Century Resort. In DTD they are at the Once Upon a Toy shop. Also at Once Upon a Toy, there is a giant plastic see thru Mr Potato Head container that you can fill with parts for $50. Just letting you know so you can explain to the kids which one they can fill.
Also at the store in Toon Town is a box you can fill for My Little Ponies. Also $20. Also at Once Upon a Toy.
There are the build your own light sabers too. They cost $20 are are at Tattoine Traders, just outside Star Tours in DHS, and are also at Once Upon a Toy.
At the Lego Store at DTD there are cups that you can fill with the different legos. The price varies with the size of the cups. I don't remember the exact prices but my guess would be $10 and $20. I know they aren't too much because we do one every visit. Sometimes they also have the build your own lego man. They are 3 men for $9. You have to get 3 men. you can't only get one or two. We tried and they wouldn't let you.
There are also the skull and treasure boxes you can fill. They are all over the place actually. I know they were at World of Disney in the Pirate room and at the store outside of Pirates of the Caribbean.

That is all I can think of off the top of my head. Don't forget they also have the design your own tee place at DTD now too. And if you have a girl, picking a pearl for $15 is just so fun. You can do that at DTD, Japan pavilion in Epcot and at the water parks.

A money saving tip~ buy the Mr Potato Head or My Little Ponies at home and take them with you. Then you only have to fill the boxes with accessories. You will get more accessories that way. The box has to be able to close and those ponies and potato heads take up a lot of room.

That's for all the great info!!!! So the My Little Ponies - they are only at Toon Town? Or also at DTD? That is a GREAT tip to buy the ponies at home and bring them - I will DEFINATLY be doing that!

Anyone know of any other items? I think I also recall something about a jewely box??

They also have Make a crown/wand stations in WOD. I think on the other side is the "fill the box" with plastic bracelets. They have a pirate version as well.

Thanks for all the info. I had been wondering this as well. I told DH about the light sabers and he is actually excited more than DS. LOL

In DTD they have a store where you can design your own ears hat. You pick the hat, then the ears, and you can get add on patches too.

What is WOD? And where? This is right up the alley for my little princesses! :thumbsup2

We did the My Little Pony boxes last week at Toon Town and DTD. All toys were 35% off when we were at WDW last week so it was just under $13 for the pony boxes. Plush was 25% off. My SIL had never seen so much on sale at Disney.

I didn't know that???!!! Where have I been....I love DTD!! Where is this?

It just recently opened in the space that used to house the Scrapbooker store near the Christmas shop. You walk by it when you get off a Disney bus. Just past the fountain.

Phew.....thanks, that explains it!!! We were there in Oct. and the scrapbook store was closed for remodelling. Guess that is why! Something new to check out....sounds like a lot of fun!;)

This is what we did last year (eta - oops! I mean 2 years ago!) - we even bought a few extra Potato Heads at thrift stores CHEAP so that all of the kids could make Potato Head creations with the box of parts (that we STUFFED full, it was pretty comical!) - and then we proudly displayed our Disney Potato heads in the window of our hotel room.

It was SO cute!

That is a great idea, but just a tip for others who might do this - make sure they are not the older ones without the removable arms. My first son's (he's21 now) PH did not have removable arms, so had to buy new ones for my second. The older arms will not hold the pieces.

I think I recall that Once Upon A Toy also has a Lincoln Log station where you can get handouts of different structures to make which tell you exactly which pieces you need and how many of each. We filled a box full for around $15 I think!
Yes, as PP stated, the old potato heads have arms that are not removable but I've been successful getting some pieces such as the Mickey bar to stay in the hands if I wedge them between the fingers! ;)

The fill a treasure box of pirate stuff is cool but I prefer the skull, you get more in there ;). We got the skull at country bounty in toontown.

I know they have the treasurebox in WOD but I noticed the skull was missing this time around. I don't know if they were sold out or they are phasing it out. Last year the skull was $19.99 and the treasure box $15.95.

Figures the toys went on sale this month, I was there last month and bought a lot of toys!

What sort of things do you fill the skull with? Pirate things? What kind of pirate things are they?

It varies but when we did it last July there were eyeballs that ooze blood on the inside when you squeeze them. Lots of different gems, rings and jewels. Stickers, a pirate colored/decorated hackiesack (one of those little beanbag balls) gummy worms (the toy kind, not food). an eye patch um these little fabric rings I guess? They go on your thumb and they are black and have a jolly roger on them.

The POTC store when you come off the ride in MK has them too, I just remembered that. I recall they have a few different things than the one in Toontown but my memory isn't so good to remember what they were. It just sticks in my mind the selection was different.
