Hi there! I'm debating whether we should go to Citricos or Narcoossee's for dinner one night. I can't stand fish so looking at the menus, I would go for the Grilled Filet Mignon at Narcoossee's or the Oak-grilled Filet of Beef at Citricos. My mom really likes seafood, but she really will eat anything off either menu. So based on my choices of beef, which restaurant would be better or are they both the same? Thanks!

DH & I have been to both. We both preferred Narcoossees. The atmosphere was nice and everyone was very attentive. We had the same experience at Citricos, but just overall enjoyed the other better.

Thanks for the response! I think my mom would like Narcoossee's better as well with all that seafood. I just wanted to make sure the steak was worth it at that price! Thanks!

Not so fast!!!

The steak is much better at Citricos as is the atmosphere. The only thing Narcoossees has over Citricos is a view of the fireworks.

Agreeing (yet again) with Uncle Romulus on this one. The fireworks view at Narcoossee is nice but the meal is better at Citrico.

Uh oh lol. Why do you say the steak is better at Citricos? More tender or the flavour?

Both. Also, we've found the service to be more attentive at Citrico with a less hectic atmosphere.

It's all a matter of perspective and experiences because I'd say the exact opposite of my trips (Citricos once, Narcosse's half a dozen times). Narcossee's service is excellent and the atmosphere is quieter. Citricos was noisier (lots of kids) and the service was less attentive (out of step with the kitchen for certain).

In terms of the filet dish, I've only had the filet at Narcoossee's (as part of the filet and lobster dish) and it was delicious. The meat was cooked correctly (albeit any good restaurant should be able to cook a steak correctly) and tasted great.

Good point. I hope the OP will have the opportunity to try both, no doubt on separate trips, because they are indeed both good restaurants.

Or maybe they'll be lucky enough to go to both places on one trip! :rotfl2: (That'd be my kind of vacation!)

For the best steak I would go to Shula's in the Dolphin over any of the others. The filet at Narcoossee's is good, but can't compare with Shula's. I have never eaten at Citrico's, but Uncleromulus is usually a good judge when it comes to dining.

I just ate the filet at Narcossee's last week. It was cooked perfectly & delicious!

I've never eaten at Citrico's so I can't compare them. However, I ate steaks last week at:

Narcossee's
Flying Fish
LeCellier
Fulton's
California Grill

California Grill's filet was simply outstanding. Tender, melt in your mouth, seasoning & sauce was awesome & cooked perfectly.

Narcossee's was a very close second.

Citricos, hands down! My fiance and I agreed....it was the very best filet of our entire trip!

I've had the filet at both and while the filet at Narcoossee's was melt-in-your-mouth good when we had it, Citrico's managed to up that somehow! My dad and I both got the filet and we hardly needed even butter knives to eat it them.

The atmosphere at Citrico's was also much more relaxed and it was very interesting to be able to see into parts of Victoria and Albert's.

We were at Narcoossee's while the fireworks were happening, but didn't want to interrupt our meal in order to go outside and watch them. If you aren't sitting in the very outer ring of tables or standing outside on the deck, then your view of the fireworks really isn't that good, so it hardly even factors in, IMO.

All disney restaurants use the same food vendors, you'll get the same beef at any signature restaurant. Choose on other criteria.

I have only eaten at narcoossee of the two but i really enjoyed it. Elegant, but laid back, quite, beautiful views. The meal moved a little slower then expected, but it was also our first night, it could have been we were exhausted. I can say we ate at the yachtsman and it was also quite good, plus le cellier, but no atmosphere, lmo.

Such as the skills of the chef and the efficiency of the serving staff.

Thanks for all the replies! I decided we'll just do both restaurants since we're planning a 14 day trip and just cut out another restaurant. Why not?! :cool1:
