Macy's bought all of the May Company stores, except for maybe a couple.

And I can't promise anything, but I think Macy's may be keeping Karen Scott.
But you know how rumors are.

I also remember G.Fox before it became Filenes.I grew up in that store. Now they are taking away Filenes and it is the saddest time of my life.They have a beautiful assortment of clothing for me and my daughter compared to Macy's. I just don't like the whole atmosphere of Macys and it seems "junkie" to me.

I loved Jordan Marsh and Filenes!

Who remembers actually buying stuff at these two places and it was actually unique and of high quality?

Jordans used to have the best customer service. When Macy's bought them out the CS went south rather quickly.

My grandmother is really upset. She practically lives at Filene's. I honestly don't care. I hate Filene's and never really shop there. I like Macy's a million times better, but I was never bothered by Filene's existence.
