figuring out touring plans

Okay, so I went to the library and checked out the UG, and when I was looking at the touring plans, there wasn't one that listed everything that we wanted to do. We are doing two days in MK and we have a combination of Touring with Young Children and Dumbo do or die. We also want to catch the afternoon parade, but that isn't added into any of the plans. Maybe I am an idiot for not figuring this out. How do I do my own touring plan, so we aren't waiting in too many massive lines. We are also doing one day that as EMH in the morning, and how do I figure that in? Thanks!

Every one of your answers is in the book. (Don't know specifically where, mine's at home at the moment.) But, you should be able to find what you're after. Read the traffic patterns portion of each park, that'll help. I believe near the front of the book it mentions how to customize or add/drop attractions based on what you want to see.

Or you can sign up for their site and get more touring plans, and I believe they'll customize them there, too. Or use TGM.

We had the same dilemma 3 years ago, so I did the first half of the Dumbo plan one day, and the first half of the "young children" plan the other day. That got all the major logjam rides out of the way early. You can then do the attractions the guide suggests for later in the day more as you wish. We sort of did the same thing last week by combining the young children tour with the regular plans but splitting up while we went. The UG is very very good for getting you through Fantasyland. I can't stress it enough--follow their advice and you'll be great.

You might want to try RideMax. They you just choose the attractions your family wants to do and it gives you a schedule. If any of the shows or parades you want to see aren't on their list - you can schedule a break for the time you want to be doing that. It works great and is much easier than trying to do it on your own.
