Since I've been resting up from my accident I have worked on a few small projects for the wedding. I already posted the canvas bags that are for our wedding party, parents, and grandmas (18 of these bags were made). Our other guests are getting their welcome bags in pastel gift bags that I purchased from Oriental trading (we have to make 25 of these).
I wanted to get a label made for my welcome bags for the regular guests, so I asked for some help on the Creative Board.
Patnl34 came up with these two designs for me. She had the basic design on her web site and I had her customize it. The two different colors gives me options to coordinate to the different bags that I got for the guests. I ordered labels that were 4 inches by 3.33 inches and they fit perfectly when I printed them out.
Here they are on the bags:
I have also been working on these jar art projects. I saw these at a discount store and I just had to buy them. There are also some princess ones that I haven't taken pictures of yet. We are doing 15 of these to place in the gift bags. These are for the people who are getting more Disney items than others. We have lanyards, the Mickey antenna toppers and playing cards, and some Mickey candies that fit perfectly inside the jars. I really didn't need them, but they were so cute I couldn't resist.
Here are some pictures of the other snowglobes that I got after the initial purchases. My aunt in Indianapolis had to get the Alice in Wonderland one for me and the Pinocchio and Donald ones are from Disney Shopping.
Since we were only able to get a few pictures during our engagement shoot with our photographer in Michigan I decided to call Randy Chapman to see if we could get in this September. It works out perfectly, he was able to fit us in the afternoon right after our menu tasting. I still can't decide which sites we want to use for our pictures. I'm leaning towards Port Orleans and Wilderness Lodge, but I'm not sure. Any input is greatly appreciated.
We are wanting to do a photo book for our guests to sign, so I want to have a good variety of pictures to include in it. I saw this idea in a wedding magazine and thought it was great. We can use it as a coffee table book after the wedding. I want to buy one of the nice photo books that are hard cover. I haven't decided which web site I want to order it from yet.
I also called Air Tran yesterday to set up our Event Saver. They are emailing me a contract with all the details, so I will share them once I get it. Our guests are eligible to travel and receive the discount 3 days prior and 3 days after our events. I listed our events from March 1-5 to give people flexibility in their travel. Here are the basics from the description on the AirTran site:
- 10% discount on most of AirTran Airways' already low fares.
- No Saturday night stay or minimum stay required.
- Priority advance seat assignments at time of ticketing.
- Change fee waived once per reservation.
- Confirmed Business Class upgrades at time of ticketing for certain fare classes.
- Flexible arrival and departure dates - up to 3 days before and after the event - so travelers can take in the sights.
- Special meeting and convention rates from Hertz.
I am off work until my birthday next week, which doesn't seem fair

If I finish up any new projects between now and then I will make sure to post them.
