Disboard member "mecllap" reports successfull photo op with Figment yesterday May 22 with the additional info that he WILL BE AT HIS PAVILLION THIS WEEKEND; she says, however, they are not at this time planning to have a Photo Pass staffer there.

I had asked at Guest Services on Saturday and they said he was off on "vacation" as did the CM at Journey that evening; LOVE it that they were/are wrong!! Yippee!

Just got off the phone with my DD after telling her that her favorite character, Figment had been sited!!!! She is beside herself with grief as she is not going on the August trip with us!!! She is a working student and full time mother. It is not an option for her this year. To make nice(?) I told her that I would get his picture and perhaps his autograph. More crying and hairpulling out!!!! Am I a Mean Momma or what!!! Hopefully he will be there next August when she will be able to go with us!!!!!

I think Figment is awesome too (obviously). I am one of those, talk to anyone kinds of people and I have learned that making friends with CMs and generally everyone means I get all kinds of useful nuggets of info, so will post everything I learn here ASAP. DS and self are headed back to Orlando this afternoon (we live in Jacksonville) and are there through Tuesday, rejoining my mom who is there now.

I would be curious about Dreamfinder returning; they might have some conflicts with the show/ride as it currently stands and I would hate for them to muck about with it yet again after they finally got Figment back into place.

Well this is a long and convoluted story, but the DIS site won't let me post with a URL since this is a new screen name that doesn't meet the mimimum number of posts yet! So I have the pic uploaded to photobucket as per instructions but it's lost there for the time being. I'll see if my DM's account will allow a posting and do it from hers.

OMG...thank you so much! I can't believe it! I can't wait to surprise the girls when we go this fall...now 17, they were little when he used to appear (as a small puppet) with DreamFinder outside the exit door of Imagination (by the jellyfish/jelly bean and "water snake" fountains!

This taken TODAY!!!

Figment was not available when we first went over to Journey; but after the 12:00 showing of Honey, I Shrunk The Audience, he was waiting for us to come on by. There was one family in the foyer area, but then we got all kinds of time to hang out for photos and conversation. Another group came in behind us, but only one set of folks, so we got to sneak in through the back for some more attention from the big guy. It was really amazing, for Figment lovers such as ourselves. Only 'bad' thing...no photo pass person. But we got tons of our own pictures so no biggie. Figment is very responsive although limited with movement and cannot sign autographs, but gives stickers in place. 4EverFigment (the blonde in the photo) made a point of telling as many people as possible to go visit with Figment, and we plan to make our voices heard that he's a character worth marketing more. The meet 'n greet area is not terribly well signed and is tucked aside of the exit of the 3D show; word of mouth will have to do until Disney gains a clue.
