I was at the Figment Pigment release today.

The sculpt has been sold out completely.

The edition size was 750. Of these 50 were sent to Disneyland, leaving 700 for WDW.

A decision was made that since there was going to be a signing Merchandise Special Events got involved. Apparently the presale through Disney Gallery were guaranteed sales, with the unsold ones being available at Art of Disney Epcot. We were unable to determine how many were available for Guests at the park.

We stopped by Art of Disney just after 4:00, and at that time they only had two remaining unsold.

Anyone who had given their name to Art of Disney for the Wish List was completely out of luck. This was supposed to be an Epcot Release, but it seems that the Epcot Guests were lower on the purchase priority scale than people who ordered through the Internet.

Mike - thanks for posting this. Mary, LeRoy & I were just discussing this last night at dinner.

So glad I pre-ordered mine.

Oh man, this is disappointing. I was really looking forward to purchasing that when I got to WDW in 2 weeks. Couldn't charge one ahead of time because need to use the CC to pay off the resort bill.

I thought they had said it was a limited number available for presale? Because from the sounds of it, it sounds like a big chunk of them didn't even make it to Epcot. Oh well. :sad2:

Ditto! He is one popular little guy!!!

I don't understand why 50 went to DL! There are probably 49 still for sale out there.

Probably for Imagineers to be able to buy them. He is a very popular person with them (and one of the very few characters that are actually a product of the Imagineers and not Animation or TV.

While I agree with you, then it would have been logical to sell them at Glendale, not Anaheim.

I put my name on the list at the gallery store in EPCOT during a Feb. visit, and they called me 1 week before the release so I could order (which I did) and offered me the option of purchasing 2 pieces.
