I saw a post on another board about how they got figaro fries and they just had cheese and bacon bits on them - when they asked about the other toppings they said they changed them this week.

Has anyone else heard the same? Hopefully its just an ugly rumor...

I'm sorry to say it is not a rumor. :sad2: I had the new version last week and they only had cheese and bacon on them.

I have heard of these but never had them. What else did they used to have on them and where are they sold. I'll have to try to new ones.

Pinocchio Village Haus - they had cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and ranch dressing. Now they are apparently just cheese and bacon - I'd just eat at Pecos Bills instead where they have the cheese pump and save the extra buck (or whatever).

If nobody knows what the new name for Figaro Fries are...then I just might start calling them "Naked Figaro". :cool1:

Uh, what cheese pump at Pecos Bill? That hasn't been there in quite a long time.

When I was at Pecos Bills in Jan, they gave me a cup of cheese sauce with my combo meal w/o asking. I was stoked! I love cheese fries, but I never get them. Made my day! :rotfl:

Can you still get the ranch dressing for the un-Figaro fries? DD always ordered with no lettuce and tomato anyhow but she loved her ranch dressing with them. I'll have to smuggle some in if they don't provide it anymore.

They have salads there, so I'm sure they have ranch dressing packets. For that matter you could take some of the lettuce and tomato off the salad, throw it on the fries, add some dressing and viola!

If you order a side salad and figaro fries, it's pretty much a meal.
And you almost have all the food groups covered

bacon = meat, fries and salad = veg's, cheese sauce = dairy

I'm going with that logic while on vacation anyway...:rotfl:

Nekked fake figaro fries.....:sad1:

Should they now be called 'Fake-a-ro Fries'? Never had them - can't stand ranch dressing (or anything else that has mayo in it or on it) but those fries were definitely a HUUUUUUUUGE his with the parkgoers. That's too bad for the died in the wool fans. I MAY try them if they just have cheese and bacon on them. Who knows. Depends on my weight. I can be anal about that:rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

Let me get this straight...Figaro Fries now have only bacon and cheese and they got rid of the lettuce and tomato and ranch. With the healthy initiative Disney's doing, how much sense does it make to take out the veggie part of it and leave in the fat and cholesterol? Strange!!!!

That's what I was thinking too. Disney is headed in the wrong direction in terms of dining in my opinion. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL FIGARO FRIES!!!!!!!!!!

I hadn't heard about the changes to Figaro Fries. But now we can actually share them. My husband absolutely hates tomatoes, would never think about putting lettuce on his fries, and the Ranch dressing might have been OK but would have been drowned out by the massive amounts of ketchup he would use. We would have ordered them exactly the way they are now.

So - for the fans of the fries before, there will be people who come along who actually like the change.

I was just telling DH about the change, and you should have saw his reaction. It was priceless. He was like "what?!" I'm kind of impressed that he even remembers what the intial ingredients were but obviously loved them. I hope Disney either reverts back to the old way of making things or allow customers to order it like it used to be.

Disnut, did you ever try to order the fries like your husband would have liked? From what I've heard about Disney restaurants, they are more than willing to take out ingredients if you request it.
