Qatar claims lgbtq+ guests will be treated with respect throughout the tournament. Media from every country is covering the event so we will see what happens. USA has a military base there so I doubt they will mess with any American guests.

How nice of them. Maybe they will keep that assurance.

I’m not saying to trust them, only that the world’s media is looking at them while the tournament happens. At least for the month I would think incidents are less likely to happen to western visitors.
