Fidel Castro - CNN is reporting that

Or the time you defended that nutball Falwell for doing the same thing.

If Rev. Falwell was criticized for wishing for the death of Fidel, then I will happily step up to the plate and defend him again.

You should never wish death on anybody. That's just me.

How about a get well limerick for Fidel.

There once was a guy named Fidel.
Kruschov once thought him swell.
Now Nikita is dead
Castro is still red
But one day they'll both be in He[[! :rotfl2:

Kruschev was actually one of the more civilized and level headed leaders of the Soviet Union.

If you're comparing him to Stalin, I'll buy that.

I won't celebrate Castro's death either. He needs to step down though dead or alive. If he does, I hope that the US keeps its nose out of Cuba's business.

Particularly when he pounded his shoe on the table at the UN. Because he backed down during the Cuban missile crisis only says that he wasn't stupid.

Yes, it's all over the news here. Knowing how the communists operate, my guess that he is either dying or already dead.

This is BIG news in my family. My husband, my sister's husband and my brother's wife are all Cuban. They are all praying he's dead...although as dh said "Satan won't die."

I agree, it's about time.

One day I would like my children to see/visit the country where I was born. I wonder what will happen next... :confused3

DH would LOVE to go to Cuba. His parents left right before he was born, so he was actually born in Venezuela.

On Nightline they are showing people celebrating in the streets of Miami.

It's quite interesting.
That was the "cuban people" celebrating in Miami, Little Havanna to be exact. Course, they Celebrate ANYTHING if Castro's name comes up!

Lets celebrate a man's death, shall we?

My in-laws lost EVERYTHING to this man, so you can bet my MIL will celebrate and she will be sad that her husband isn't here to see it.

What happens, politically, in Cuba when Castro dies?

Unfortunately, I've heard his brother is just as bad as he is...but he's 75. It's just a "light at the end of the tunnel" thing...we hope.

I don't really know much about Cuba's history but could never figure out why we promote democracy thousands of miles away with a communist country just 100 miles from our borders.
