Fiction Books Involving Disney

Did anyone ever read the Baby Sitters' Club books? One of my favorites was the "Super Special" Baby Sitters' on Board - the "Club" flew down to Florida with their charges for a Bahamian cruise and a visit to WDW. Definitely one of the things that fueled my obsession for WDW as a child!:)

ME TOO!! :lmao: I remember reading it so many times prior to our trip to WDW when I was 11 and I may even have read it in the car on the way. It helped me know what to expect in so many different ways! I wouldn't have known about the hitchhiking ghost at the Haunted Mansion otherwise! :rotfl:

Carole Marsh has a good one for 3rd-4th grade ages called Mystery at Walt Disney World. It takes you through several rides and various spots around MK.

Not sure if this is the proper area to post this, but my search for information has been mostly fruitless so far. I have an idea for a fiction book which involves Disney World, Epcot and Downtown Disney for much of the setting of the book (may even involve a young Walt in the story as well).

However, before I dive head first into writing, does anyone know the legal issues involved in writing such a book? My idea is in the same genre as books such as the Kingdom Keepers series and the Hidden Mickey series of books. (These books have inspired me but I'm getting a bit tired of the cliche story lines where Walt leaves clues behind, etc., my story will take the genre in a somewhat different direction.)

Are any online references available for writers who wish to use Disney properties as elements of their fiction books to know if they are legally agreeable to the Disney company?

Looking forward to constructive replies/suggestions. Thank you!

I hope that it's OK to post this here, but I have a novel available that's set in the Epcot city that Walt originally wanted to build. It's called "The Happiest Workplace On Earth" by Shaun Finnie and is a thriller that features the futuristic city of Epcot heavily.

Kingdom Keepers and Disney Girls. I just started reading KK this year and I love them. Has anybody read books 2-6? :thumbsup2
