For those of you that have obtained your scores, which company did you use?

Many Thanks!:)

I just use CreditKarma.com - it's free, and you can get your score as much as you want. I learned about them from Clark Howard, he's big on them. They provide the TransRisk New Account Score, VantageScore, and Auto Insurance Risk Score from TransUnion.

FYI - Your score will vary based on the agency you pull it from. Here's what CreditKarma has to say about that:

"There are many, different types of credit scores available from different lenders, credit bureaus, and credit score providers. The three major credit bureaus each offer their own brand of credit score, such as TransUnion's TransRisk score, based on their individual proprietary models for calculating a credit score. Each credit score model derives information from your credit report as provided by that particular bureau, and credit report data can also vary from bureau to bureau. Additionally, independent companies such as Fair, Issac and Company and its FICO score, distribute their own credit score based on their proprietary model that takes into consideration credit reports from all three major credit bureaus. Credit Karma provides the TransRisk New Account Score, VantageScore, and Auto Insurance Risk Score from TransUnion.

The common thread among all credit score models is that they are a measurement of your creditworthiness, each with their own scale, factors, and credit report data taken into consideration. It is hard to say which model is superior, but picking a single credit score model and tracking it over time will help you understand and manage your credit health. This is a significant reason why we encourage you to come back and check your score often at Credit Karma. "

all scores that you buy are called FAKO scores.. No one sells FICO scores anymore..

Only one who can give you them is Lenders or CC applications since they get to see FICO..

FAKO will give you a good area of where you are, within + or - 20 points.

I do have mycreditkeeper.com it is owned by HSBC which of course is now Capital One. It is 9.99 a month. You get an updated credit report and FAKO scores every 30 days. Plus they send you updates if something gets posted negative or positive to your account. They do give you FAKO as well, but it is really close. I do have creditkarma but I do not find it nearly as accurate as mycreditkeeper.

I believe only Equifax might actually sell their score for like 17.95 per month.

I spend alot of time:surfweb: on myfico.com

DH says if you are not on the DIS boards then you are on myfico.com

You should be able to go to myfico.com and get your FICO scores for TransUnion and Equifax. I believe that the only one you can't get the FICO score for is Experian. However FICO does seem to bundle their scores in with the reports and will charge you one set fee.

I would go to myfico and do a free scorewatch trial to get your equifax score and then subscribe to quarterly monitoring for your transunion score ($5/mo). To check your experian, I would do credit sesame, which is free.
