Well i am freezing my bloomin' bits off .We have no gas-which means no hot water,central heating or cooker.Hubby went to check how much gas we had,put the card in+the meter has shut down .
Rang EDF who got in touch with The National Grid and it's not classed as an emergency ,so they will be out between 8-1pm tomorrow.
We're supposed to be leaving the house tomorrow at 12noon to go to the Hilton Hotel for the day+night,as a Christmas treat for the 4 of us for the Christmas Celebrations Dinner.Let's hope they are here before then ,and it's not a serious problem which causes us not to go .
But to look on the bright side if they can't fix it straight away+it's not serious we will have a lovely dinner+then brekkie the next morning at the hotel .x.

They are so snug+warm in there faux fur lined bed-i might join them .
I have my pj's on,plus socks,slippers,dressing gown+faux fur throw wrapped around me,what a sight that all is .I am thinking of putting my gloves on next.x.

We had a problem when we got back from wdw last saturday but luckily hubby figured out it was just our pilot light kept going out so he had to keep relighting it but it stayed on eventually and seems fine now.

Thanks Claire .Let's hope we can still go .I have just been in touch with my Mum+she said if need be(and we can still go to the Hotel)she will stay at ours whilst it get's fixed .Glad you got yours sorted.x.

We are at -5 up here We went to the cinema and had to drive home in really bad freezing fog

That reminds me of when I was a student. A group of us rented a house and we had 1 bar electric fires to heat (or not) our rooms. I'd go to bed in pjs jumper socks gloves and hat - then I'd lay my coat over the top of the duvet for an extra layer.

One of the boys left his jeans to soak in the bath one night and in the morning they were in a block of ice!!

(Kids today ....etc, etc)

I hope your heating is sorted soon.

Well we are all nice+toasty now.Mr.Gas Man turnt up about an hour ago .The battery had gone in the meter outside which caused it to turn the gas off,he was only here about 2 mins.
So off to the Hilton we go at 12noon-to feast on a sumptious Christmas Banquet this evening,swimming in the pool,sleeping in King Size Beds+tucking into an 'eat as much as you want' buffet brekkie the next morning--sounds like heaven to me .Bye......................x.x.x.x.x.x.

Thanks everyone-we had a lovel time,just wish it was for longer.

Our room was lovely,double bed for the girls,kingsize for us.Sofa,table+chairs,tv,playstation,mini fridge etc..We had a bowl of fruit,mineral water,mini bottle of red+white wine+chocs waiting for us.Robes+slippers+toiletries as well.
We had an hour swim,before we went up to get bathed+changed for our yummy dinner.
Hubby had Thai Chilli Fish Cakes+Rocket Salad for starters,Chicken breast stuffed with wild mushrooms+some fancy cheese,wild mushroom risotto+asparagus for main,Passion fruit cheesecake,with raspberries+blueberries+arasperry fruit coulis.
Me-Asparagus+stilton tart+rocket salad for starters,Lamb shank in a red wine+rosemary sauce,parsley+cheese mash,asparagus+carrots,Lemon Tarte with rasperries+blueberries+rasberry coulis.
We both then shared a cheese,biscuit,chutney+grape platter.
Emily had chicken nuggets+rocket salad to start,chicken+bacon pizza for main,hot chocolate pudding+ice cream for dessert.
Chloe had chicken nuggets+rocket salad to start,fish+chips+peas for main,hot choc pud+ice cream for dessert.
Girls shared a fruit platter.
The food was absolutley delish+we all had a bite of each others as well.

The next morning we went down for brekkie which was buffet style+there was so much of it-all different foods, sausages,eggs,bacon,mushrooms,beans,fried bread,black pudding,cereals,cold meats+cheeses,salmon,different bread rolls,omelettes made to order,croissants,peacan whirls,iced doughnuts,choc chip cookies+muffins-the girls loved these for brekkie.

We normally stay at the Hilton for birthday/anniversary treats throughout the year but have never been to the Christmas Celebrations Dinner before,but we will deffinaltey be doing it again next year .x.
