Looking for some great seafood for a date night for me and DH. He doesn't like things too stuffy. Opinions?
THANKS!!!!!!:goodvibes

We ate at Fultons in 2010... It was ok nothing too great IMO and was pricey! The best part of meal was the crab" dip" you get to start with.

Fulton's is a must do for us on every visit. The atmosphere is relaxed. As you would expecte the seafood is fresh and well prepared. My favorites are the crab and lobster bisque and the crab claws.

I also say Flying Fish, hands down. Better food, better atmosphere, better service. Walking around the Boardwalk and a late night round of mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens which is a short walk away after your meal is really nice. Jelly Rolls is also on the Boardwalk and is great if you or your DH is into all-request dueling piano bars (it's a lot of fun).

If you are not tied to a dining plan and are somewhat foodies, we did the Chef's Wine Tasting Dinner at Flying Fish back in October, which was fantastic. You sit at the kitchen counter and get to watch what goes on in the kitchen, you get a 4 or 5 course meal, each course with a wine pairing, the Chef will come out and talk about each course as it is served to you, and the service was very quick to refill any water, wine or coffee. It's not cheap (about $158 or so per person including tax and tip), but it is an all around great dining experience.

I'm going to force this now into equal opinions! For us it's going to Fulton's every trip. We love it there. The one time we did have a bad meal, we told them and they brought out new food and gave us dessert on the house. Last time we went there, we sat at the bar, ordered crab legs and chatted with the bartender. It was wonderful and exactly how I remembered it. A little pricey? Yes. However, the portions you get a good sized and I think the atmosphere is fun.

The Fish hands down. Every meal I've had there has been great! Every meal at Fultons has been mediocre. The service has also been blah to poor at Fultons, always great at the Fish. The noise level/running about, etc. at Fultons has also been higher than the Fish. Neither place is stuffy or fussy plus with the Fish you can tool around the Boardwalk afterwards. You are also in walking distance to ESPN zone if your hubby is into sports.

I love Fulton's and have had two great meals there. We ate at FF last week and I thought it was just okay. Not terrible by any means but I don't think I'll go back.

Have a great trip!:goodvibes
