Do you think there will be less resort discounts when the f-land project is done. I think that wont be till 2013 right. Wanting to get a trip in next December and hoping that there may some free dining in December 2012.

I'm guessing that the discounts will continue until the overall economy improves.

If they have enough people to stay in the resorts.. they will end. If not enough people book they will add more disc. The extention of FD in 2012, shows not as many people booked as they hoped. I doubt it means people are waiting until FL opens, but that they have less to spend.

I went 3 times in 2008 6 - 2009 5 - 2010 and 2 -2011 I am not going in 2012... All discounted stays, my dvc, or rental dvc. I will be going in spring break of 2013; After I use all my DVC points, if no discounts I will prolly stay with rental DVC points of off site. The cost of 189$ a night at FQ is way to much money; when you can get Swan/Dol for same price. I do not think I am alone.

One of the few reasons we've been going to Disney year after year is because it's an affordable vacation for my family, but ONLY with a discount. If there are no more discounts, I'll probably vacation elsewhere.

Disney seems to be waiting longer to release discounts lately. That's okay, but I can't imagine them not offering them anymore. :scared1:

IMO it all depends on the economy. If the economy is a lot stronger in 2013 then we will see fewer discounts. New attractions don't help if families can't afford to take vacations.

Disney has resorts to fill and that's why we see discounts. With next year being an election year I can't imagine the economy being 100% strong & stable so IMO we'll still have discounts next year, maybe not to the extent we're used to but something.

There all ready are fewer discounts. Example: when we go for free dining we now pay $120 a day for what used to be free (to upgrade per person to regular dining and tip). Starting to wonder if we should start to explore elsewhere.
