3 more weeks to the World :)

I know on rides they do not allow the SD on they will do a Rider Swap. Do they allow for rides they are allowed on? I can not see putting him on the tea cups and a few others. I also think TSM would be a good one to swap on because my son can do stairs but I am not sure how SD will do on a jerky ride???

The relief areas I have found on the new PDF's. Are there any that are better/worse to go to? I saw some smoking areas nearby and I know I can not put my son in those areas. Also I did not see a PDF for DTD, where in the event should we take the SD to potty while there? I can not even remember any non concrete areas.

On the rides that have moving sidewalks will they slow/stop any for my son and the SD? He is esculator trained but right now we hold the main lead and my son holds a 2 ft city leash attached to the dog. He is not focused enough to handle him on his own.

Anything else the experts can tell me? :confused3

I found a nice relief are between story book circus and tomorrow land it nice and gated with grass it new and it not near a designated smoking place the only thing is the train will pass. It not a high trafficked as the other ones and it good size their two gates that are marked so that one I think would ba a good option in mk. The two rides they can't slow or stop the walk way are Peter Pan or tta the rest they will slow if asked. For dtd I ask I didn't see one I know they have them but not sure where it is located.

I didn't think the dogs were allowed on the Teacups, but I know for sure we were allowed to do a rider swap on TSM. When you load at TSM you'll be sent through (or in my experience with the dog) the handicap loading area. Since you load AND unload there, you can easily switch without having to worry about being separated.

I have taking both my service dogs on STM in DL and they both did fine, my newer service dog actually loved it. You can do it two different ways, I am blind so we many times just go thru the regular line and have a regular cart to ride in, but sometimes certain CM will send me to the handicap loading and then we take the w/c cart, this one gives the dog a lot more room to lay down and be comfortable, I would think it would be better even if your son is in a w/c, my problem is, I think it is only for the w/c person, there was only the seat I sat in, but I could be wrong, being blind I would not have seen if there was a fold down seat like in some rides and we are a party of 5 so I sat alone.

There is at least two do runs, potty spots in dtd, they seem to be at the end, I will try to find a map because I can not explan where, but I know one is at the end of all the buildings and like behind a store, in a grass area, the other seems to me like it is at the other end and it is grass.

As to where is a good place, I can't help you, both wdw and dlr I have had trouble but I hear it is different, my problem is that most of the places have gates, for a blind person to find the potty is hard enough, to open a gate with a hidden lock is impossible and by the time I figure where the gate is and how to unlock it, I have to go find a CM because we had an accident, or at least this happened twice in the past. Last year they marked the spots better and some had no gates. But that was dlr and we found she went on the way in, and out and the very best part of dlr is that the kennel is right outside between the two parks so we had plenty of time to slide in the kennel, use the potty and slide out. The other very best part of it, was that once a day, I could give her a few hours in the kennel when I could go and do the rides she could not go in, she got a much needed break and we did not have to go to far to get to the kennels. We are going to wdw in may and I cross my fingers that they have the kennels at the end of the rides like they are suppose to put in soon so we can go on everything.

Oh as to ride swap, it i can remember correctly they will allow a ride swap for the dog on every ride, just tell them you do not want the dog on it. I can't remember doing this but years ago I must have because I remember getting ride swaps for like the storybook ride in dlr which I am sure the dog would go on, but since my dog is a lab and loves water, I was afraid he would jump in, it was very hot that day. I also remember getting one for dumbo, my last dog was bigger and had a very had time getting comfortable in the ride, I finally gave up trying to get him to lay down and just stopped taking him on the ride.

Hope you have lots of fun.
