HI!!!!! I heard about Festival of the Masters on the podcast last year but this time when it was on the podcast it perked my ears a little more.

This sounds like fun and something I would love to go to.

Anyone else going to this event??? It sounds like fun!

We did by accident last year. We went to DTD for lunch and got a super surprise. We enjoyed wandering around and watching the chalk artists do their thing. WOW! The artistry was absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed it. We didn't get to see the finished product since we were there on a Saturday morning. I would have liked to see all the finished drawings....not sure when they are suppose to be finished and judged but that would be cool.

I've gone the last couple of years and will definately go again this year. It's a craft fair with a Disney spin. Most of the art items are extremely expensive but most are original ideas that would be hard to find else where. Together with the sidewalk chalk contests, entertainment and the restaurant tastings, it makes for a nice afternoon. I'm looking forward it it. :)

I'm definitely planning on it. I've always wanted to see it. We arrive on the 13th and our flight time changed so we'll be getting there earlier than I thought and we'll have time to go over and check it out. I'm very excited. :yay:

I've never heard of this, can someone explain a little more and on what date is this happening?:dance3:

Planning a trip for my 40th bday with dw and dd(9) that week and just wondering if attending on the Friday is "worth it" ?

Besides the chalk art , what else is there ?

How advanced will the chalk art be if we go Friday afternoon ?

sorry, flying out Sunday morning and just can't take time away on the last day in the parks Saturday.

Looks like we will be going to the festival on Saturday as there is no way Mike can get off on Friday. I would think the chalk artists start on Friday and work on their masterpieces until Sunday.

Happy early birthday wishes - my 40th is in January.

Holly
