I’m traveling next month and cannot eat dairy. Do the food booths have food allergy information available?

They'll be able to tell you what doesn't contain dairy which likely won't be much.

There will be a few things listed on menus that are entirely plant-based, so labeled.

I warn you that my experience with Food & Wine booth food has been dismal. We'll try FGF booths, but I expect to be eating at a restaurant.

You might look over the menus, available by Friend Google.

Thanks for letting me know! The problem I have with this is they have a plant based icon, but I can have eggs and meat, just no dairy.
There tend to be VERY few items (if any) with no dairy that still have eggs and meat. The plant-based items are really where you'll live at the booths.

Remember, these are not full restaurant-sized kitchens, so they don't really adapt items, nor eliminate cross contamination except for those things they are guaranteeing are plant based.

Right. I know these are all mass produced. I just wasn’t sure if they had definitive information on whether certain items contained this one ingredient. I’m not deathly allergic but am nursing my infant son with a milk intolerance. Cross contamination isn’t a big deal, I just don’t want to eat for example a cookie full of butter or anything like that.

The menu at each booth will say (Plant-based) or (Gluten-friendly) like that to indicate what an item's allergen status is.

As another poster indicated, you can expect nothing containing eggs or meat to be dairy-free.

In short, you'll likely be eating nothing but plant-based at the booths.

Hopefully someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the booths have an allergy binder available. That would allow you to check what does/doesn’t contain dairy.

My daughter has several food allergies. When we were at the food booths during Epcot Festival of the Arts, we would advise the CM taking orders that we needed to speak to someone regarding food allergies. Either someone would come out of the booth and look on their phone to check ingredients or someone was called and they arrived within a few minutes to discuss the allergies and ingredients. At one booth, the guy to whom I was speaking seemed to be scrolling through a menu of food items or booths on his phone and then looking at each dish she was interested in eating. It MAY be that the dedicated allergy contacts have access to food dishes at all of the booths.

I'd encourage you to ask about food allergies/ingredients at every booth.

I follow someone who went around to each booth and asked about gluten and dairy, so that might give you a place to start

Ask. If it’s something where the only dairy is the cheese or a sauce on top, they will leave it off for you. 🌺

We have a weird allergy in my crew so I’m used to the process for this. They have definitive information. They have a binder with some info for their reference and when that doesn’t answer the question to their full satisfaction (they do not want to poison you!) they will call and consult someone who knows exactly what goes in that dish. This can take some extra time (1-5 mins) so don’t expect to speed through if you need to ask about a dish. But, be patient and they’ll happily get you an absolute answer on any dish.
