I would like to do one show at ak during our next trip. My kids love nemo as well as lion king. Dd will be 4 ds 8. Any suggestions? I think nemo might be just a tad too long?

They are both great. Very different, though. Nemo is a story with magical puppets. Folk is more of a celebration, almost Cirque de Soleil style. I did Nemo with a 4 year old and it was not too long. I think folk holds more appeal as kids age out of Nemo. We are returning to Nemo this year, so my 2 year old can see it.

Haven't seen nemo, but lion king is outstanding. I took my 8 year old asd/adhd to see it when he was only 4 and he sat through the whole thing and absolutely loved it. I would recommend it to anyone :)

FOTLK is our all time favourite show in Disney World! We never miss it. A breakfast at Tusker House followed by the Lion King show is how we always start our day at AK. A must do show IMO :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes Have a great trip :thumbsup2

I'm doing Breakfast there, then Safari, and then The Lion king show when we go in dec. I am so happy they have lion king show.

Lion King was closed during our last trip. I am excited it is back for our upcoming one! I loved it years ago. Nemo bored me, but I am not a 4 or 8 year old. For them, it would probably be entertaining. (I think I was disappointed because I really liked LK and Tarzan when that was there.) When my kids were that age, they loved both the Lion King and the Tarzan shows. Try doing a you tube search, I know the Nemo one is on there, haven't looked for LK, but this will give you a better idea of what to expect in order to make a decision.

The shows are so different you may want to try and do both! As an adult I love the FOTLK show, I don't quite "get" the Nemo show but my boys love it. We've had to see it multiple times during some of our trips because they enjoyed it so much. My boys are now 12 & 14 and they just sat through it again in November, but once was enough this time.

Both of them are fantastic, but if you only have time for one, I'd do FOTLK. The new theater is great and the show is as good as ever!

fOTLK gets my vote too. We saw it for the first time last year and it was outstanding. Unfortunately, my son, then 3 years old, fell asleep in line for it and slept through the whole thing. He would have loved it.

I can't believe there are people who are bored by or don't enjoy the nemo show. But that's a part of what makes the parks so great. Everybody gets to find/pick what they enjoy!

I love both shows but if I had to pick one, I'd pick nemo. That isn't to lessen the greatness of the lion king show in any way. But the nemo show just blows me away every time I see it. The production value is very high quality, the songs are brilliant (and brilliantly choreographed) and the way they tell the story sucks me in and tugs at my heart. I'm a 30 year old guy with no kids, just to put a perspective on my opinion. But that's all it is....my opinion! Hope you love whatever you pick! And really, I hope you can do both :)

Is there a reason you can't do both? I love both shows and would encourage you to do both, but if you can only do one, then Nemo for your kids ages

I would try to do both if you can. It's a nice break from the heat.

If you feel that you're kids can't sit through two shows, I would go with FOTLK since its a bit more interactive and try to sit up towards the front with kids.

They are both wonderful shows, but my favorite is FOLK. It is so much fun and great for all ages. The atmosphere is so lively! :goodvibes If you can do both, maybe do FOLK in the morning and Nemo later? A;; the shows are also a great way out of the crowds and the heat!

Have a wonderful time! :)

Why not both? That's what I'm gonna do. Never seen Lion King, but I love the Nemo show.

We hated the Nemo show. It was a one time thing for us. Lion King hands down would be my choice. It's the best show at all of Disney World

I LOVE the Nemo show, personally, but that is a far from universal view here. And yes, it is 40 minutes, with all new (therefore unfamiliar) music.

It is some sort of testimonial to the Lion King show that I really enjoy it and I am not a Lion King fan. I would say FOTLK is a must-do, and more engaging for young kids, since there is a lot of action and they probably already know the songs.

They are both wonderful shows. DD, age 2, liked Nemo better, which surprised us, because she really likes the lion king movie better than the Nemo movie. She still walks around singing In the Big Blue World and Just Keep Swimming. She was in a wet and sat still through the whole show.

I honestly would try to do both if I were you, just maybe not back to back.
