When reading a very long thread, do you dive in on page one and read the whole thing, or are you like me, and read the final page and maybe the one before only?

Totally depends on the topic. Some require the full read and some don’t.

I usually read the whole thread because I don’t want to repeat something someone else said or respond to something that has been answered later on by the op.

What WorldWacky said. A mega thread like the Funny Memes thread however, you can jump right in. But should one be so peristent, there is gold in them back pages.

Whole thread - I don’t want to miss anything - I try to stay on top of things before they become huge - and then keep up with items I’m interested in
Through the years I’ve learned so much on the DIS that I never would have if I skimmed the threads
Just my thoughts - but I feel I owe my fellow DIS the respect to read what they posted if I click on a thread especially if I’m going to comment - I may miss something witty or informative - or the usual counter point - it’s all good !!!

I get the gist of what it might be about by DISers commenting. If it sounds like it merits a thorough read I will go back to it.

I read the whole thing usually early on - Lord knows there are precious few threads anymore that are interesting enough to go multi-pages. If I get to the party late I still start on page 1 and read through. I grab all the posts I want to quote but often by the time I get to the end and am ready to post, several people have already said what I intended to say, so I don't post.
