I’ve only reported blatant spam/porn/ads, while also putting that account on ignore so I don’t send duplicate reports.
Accounts I’ve put on ignore are spinneret and a couple that mostly just laugh at others’ comments without explaining or contributing much themselves. Another time I temporarily ignored an account because I was tired of seeing a thread they started, reversed after it died down. Now there’s the option to just ignore a thread which I think is a better option.
Personally I don’t find scrolling past equivalent to out of sight, out of mind. What’s to gain from enduring something inconsequential. If someone threw a paper plate on my living room floor, do I keep stepping over it or remove it?
