Ferris keeps making my heart jump out of my chest!

Every time my 1 year old takes a nap I like to listen to the podcast while I clean the kitchen. Well, whenever I hear Ferris I keep thinking my lil one has woken up.

I'm always relieved to realize that it is Ferris squawking over the podcast. But, man! My heart skips a beat (I have one of those terrible sleepers who STILL wakes up every 2-3 hours during the night!)

Even my 5 yr old tells me, "Turn it off because I think that's Tuddy!"

The only difference is that I let the sweet sounds of the podcast sooth me to sleep. Whenever I hear sweet Ferris I think it's my daughter and begin to mentally prepare for a long night. What a relief after I pause the podcast and realize my sweet babe is still sleeping soundly!

Does your lil one wake up through the night too? I never thought I'd be getting only 2-3 hours of sleep at a time with a 1 year old!!!

The first few months were rough, but fortunately she has turned into a good sleeper. You are a warrior still hanging in there at one year! I'm sure restful nights are just around the corner. Is this your only babe?

I thought the same thing for awhile, but quit using monitors during nap time since we moved and now I am comforted by Ferris' little noises.

We have given up on nap time and it is just quiet time with the occassional sleep.

Nope, it's #2 and dd5 gets woken up if we let her cry at night.

Well he doesn't make me jump but he makes my dog jump! For some reason when he hears the baby coos his twists his head and runs up to the speakers!

He better get used it, we have a baby on the way in two weeks or so!

my baby girl is 1 this week and we still have her up and breastfeeding 2 times a night! oh well i guess it wont last forever!

I have been trying to fit in listening to the podcast in the car when running errands on days off, and I always have the boys with me. Merrick is always either saying "Whats that??" every time Ferris coos, or laughs and repeats the noise when Ferris makes funny noises! Which usually leads me to have to rewind the podcast continually because a 2 year old making the same noises isn't as cute or quiet as Ferris!

I thought I was the only one that jumped whenever Ferris makes a sound. I listen to the podcast during nap time. I usually pause the podcast at least 2 dozen times to determine if it's Ferris or if one of the boys is awake.

I don't think I could stand listening to the podcast after bedtime, it would make me way to paranoid.

I"m still breastfeeding too! I'm going to try to wean her this week, though. She turned 1 last week.
