What did the parking lot between FFI, Mimi's and Hojo's used to be for? It is completely fenced off and from the looks of the weeds growing in the parking lot, hasn't been used in several years.

Looking down from our room at the FFI, the only thing I could come up with, was that a hotel used to be on the site of Mimi's and the parking lot in question was for that hotel? Am I warm? :confused3

Many years ago there used to be a Mexican restaurant in that general area but I don't know if it was torn down when FFI was built. There also used to be a bus hub back there (ART and city busses) but I can't picture it in my mind right now, so not sure if it's still around or even in the area you're seeing.

So, all that to say, I don't really know what used to be in the exact area you're talking about.

probably because the bus hub is moved to resort side for better access for guest...

There was a Mexican restaurant in the location that Mimis is now. I remember that we got off the Disneyland Express bus there and just walked across the street to Hojos.

You know, we actually own that lot and are trying to figure out what we might do with it! I've heard rumors about our owner considering building another hotel over there...

Do you guys have any suggestions that I might be able to pass along? Family Suites? Another water feature? More firework views? Etc?

Since we're still very much in the Idea Phase, it would be awesome to get some feedback from the people that it will affect most about what would best serve you on your trips! :goodvibes

Whadya think?

I would LOVE to see more family suites!! We are a family of 6 now and may be increasing through foster care.. it is difficult to make reservations anywhere without needing 2 rooms! I don't like our family to be split up.

I agree with more Family Suites, maybe one with prem. view!!

Food court, with a microwave, drink dispenser, ice cream soft-serve machine, and lots of family suites above!!!;)

I agree with the family suites! We stay offsite at Homewood Suites by Hilton. Also FREE HOT BREAKFAST!! What a way to start your day. And, larger size fridge & microwave - kitchenette suites if possible. And lastly...LOTS of insulation for sound reduction!

Great ideas :)

Yes, a free breakfast is a great idea (and a free hot breakfast is even better!). I would love to see a slightly higher quality hotel within walking distance to DLR. Something along the lines of the Hyatt or Hilton. It's great to be close enough to walk but then if you want to stay at a nicer place you either have to stay onsite ($$$$$) or drive/shuttle to the park. Oh and fridges in every room would be great too.

Oh breakfast would be awesome!!!! That's the only thing I could think of that would make the HoJo better than it is already. :) Seriously, I love you guys! LOL

I agree with family suites! That would be fantastic!

Looking forward to staying with HOJO in 13 days! Woo Hoo!!!! My first stay in Premium rooms!

I've haven't stayed there yet (staying for the first time in Dec) but I agree with the food court idea. When we stayed in Disneyworld, the hotels there have cafeteria style food courts and it was so nice to be able to grab just a bagel and fresh fruit in the morning, or eggs and waffles really fast and be out the door in less than 30 minutes. And it was nice to come back to rest and swim in the afternoon and then grab something quick and cheap to eat. And it was especially nice when we came back from the parks late in the evening and someone was hungry or just wanted something to snack on. We knew there was always a variety of food just a short walk away. I would love to see that incorporated into a hotel in the disneyland area.

Food court sounds good with maybe an upstairs 'adult' beverage lounge? Hey,it's just a thought. :rolleyes1
(I sure miss Chaos resturant/lounge) :sad2:

Family Suites!! Can never have too many of them, plus and indoor pool for the colder months would be nice. The only one is Desert Inn and while nice in Dec it's really a terrible pool otherwise

It would be nice if a new building was put up, if it added more themed rooms. Since Hojo is the only offsite hotel with a themed water play area, it seems fitting that they have themed rooms. I think it would be really cute to have, say, a Mickey and Minnie honeymoon suite! Plus, some larger suite options so that families don't have to stay in 2 rooms.

I also think your business would get out of control (if it's not already, by the rave reviews on this site you guys have a lot of loyal customers!) if breakfast was added. Although your loyal customers come back time and time again, I think that some of us who have never stayed are put off by there being no breakfast.

Family Suites, Family Suites, and maybe a few more FAMILY SUITES!!

Gimme a kitchen area and I''ll be in HoJo heaven! :cloud9:
