Are there any females here who like Fantasy. I don't necessarily mean playing role playing games, but like reading stories about elves, dwarves and such. I'm curious because I've written a short story about a very famous elf from a Tolkien novel. ;) Was wondering if any of you would like a sample by way of PM or here?
Story is definitely geared more towards females. I would be honored if you any of you are interested in reading and could give me your honest opinion.

Thanks,

Denise

I like fantasy novels. Although (shame on me) I liked the LOTR movies better than the books.

I also really like Marion Zimmer Bradley's "Mists of Avalon" series. In fact, "Mists" is my favorite book of all time. It's geared towards women, too!

Are you interested in a sample of what I've written?

I'd be interested. :goodvibes

How much constructive feedback would you like? I've participated in numerous writer's workshops and I have a concentration in creative writing.

Also, on Yahoo groups (the e-mail ones), I've seen some great writer's workshops going on. The rules are pretty much, you have to give feedback and you have to submit at least X amount of stories per X amount of time. I wish I had the motivation to rejoin one!

ETA: I don't mean to make it sound as if I'm any kind of an expert or anything, but I do love to read, especially fantasy! :)

I just want honest opinions, thanks so much for being interested. If something doesn't fit in the timeline, if something just doesn't sound right tell me, I want to fix it. Not going to submit it or anything, just want some good reading for any females who are interested. I will post part of the story in next post, let me know when and if you are ready for more. I'll be up for a bit. THANKS SO MUCH!!! :thumbsup2

OK here it is, I'm nervous. Don't know why, but I am. Oh yeah, a title might help with the concept of the story:

SWEET DREAMS

I rolled over as I slept and slowly opened my eyes. I didn’t recognize my surroundings nothing seemed familiar. As I sat up and looked at my bed, it had changed too. It was much older, looked like something right out of a fantasy novel. There was a canopy over it and the colors were rainbow like. I placed my feet on the floor and even I didn’t look the same. I remember going to bed in old pajamas that had faded in color. I was now wearing a silk gown falling off of my shoulder that was magenta in color. My hair was much longer than normal, to my mid-back as a matter of fact.
I grabbed my hair in my hands and spoke out loud, “okay, this is really strange.” I had an accent now, a British one of sorts. “And where did this accent come from?” I stood up.
From behind me a voice, “I’ve been waiting for you all night,” it said softly. I turned quickly. I had to have been dreaming because standing in front of me was an elf, an extremely handsome elf. Blond hair, blue eyes, tall, with a somewhat athletic build.
“You’re---“ I started. “An elf,” he finished.
“But elves aren’t real, they don’t exist, at least not in this world.”
“You are correct my lady, we don’t exist in your world, but we are not in YOUR world,” he walked over to me slowly.
I shook my head, “I don’t understand, what do you mean we’re not in my world? I can’t believe this accent! It’s amazing!”
He pulled my nightgown back up on my shoulder and pushed my hair off my shoulder. He ran his hand down my arm slowly and took my hand. “The accent is not the only thing amazing about you. Come with me,” he walked to the door.
I blushed from his comment and dropped my head casually. I then looked up at the closed door and spoke, “okay, I know I had that open when I went to sleep last night.”
“You did,” he said placing his hand on the doorknob.
“I am so confused,” I dropped my head once again only this time from frustration.
“My sweet Ilona, it will all come together for you in no time,” he placed two fingers under my chin and gently raised my head.
“What did you call me?”
“Ilona, it means beautiful, of the light,” he looked deep into my eyes.
“But my name is---.”
“In your world your name is one thing, but in OUR world you are Ilona and I am Legolas,” he opened the bedroom door.
I became weak in the knees and lost my balance. I fell against Legolas as I looked around. He was holding me close. What I was seeing was truly amazing. There was a field in front of us blooming with all kinds of flowers of all colors. Many of which I had never seen before. The trees were amazing. As I looked up, I could barely see the tops of many of them. The smells were incredible! The air was so fresh and the flowers were so perfume like.
As I regained my composure somewhat, I looked behind me only to see what used to be my bedroom vanishing. I stepped forward as to not be in the doorway of the vanishing room. Legolas stepped with me. I bent down to pick a flower. It was huge, as it had grown to meet the bottom of my thigh. I smelled it and closed my eyes as I did.
“What is this place?” I asked quietly.
“My home, Mirkwood,” he answered bending down next to me smelling the same flower.
“I, I don’t understand Legolas. I fell asleep last night and I wake up to this. The beauty, the smells, the feeling all so amazing to me, but I don’t understand what happened,” a tear fell from my eye.
Legolas sat in front of me and then wiped my tear. He took both my hands into his. “Do you remember what you dreamed last night?”
I thought for a moment and then shook my head, “No, not really.”
“Try my Ilona, try to remember what you dreamed.” Legolas squeezed my hands gently.
I sat for a few moments trying to remember; nothing was coming to me though. I started to shake my head until---“Wait, it was you. I was dreaming of you!” I sat up and continued, “It was you, and a dwarf, and a ranger of some sorts. You were all trying to rescue me. I had been captured by this evil sorcerer who was going to make me his by dawn of the 3rd day from the time he kidnapped me. You went through hell trying to get to me.” I looked deep into his eyes now, “you were shot with bows, cut with swords, you just wouldn’t give up.”
“And did I rescue you my sweet?” Legolas asked stroking my cheek gently.
I looked away for a moment as I thought about it and then back to Legolas, “yes, yes you did.”
“And do you remember one of the last things I said to you?”
“You said no matter where I am, you’ll find me. Neither man, nor beast can separate us, nor can any two worlds. You told me that all I had to do was close my eyes and call your name softly, from my heart and you would be there in a moments notice, and then you just disappeared.” You could hear the sadness in my voice. I paused for a bit and then continued, “Next thing I knew I was still dreaming, but I was in my hometown at some strange barbeque having strange conversations with strange people.”
Legolas grinned.
“At one point in this dream, I went off alone to a little creek to sit and think. I placed my hand in the water to move it around. I felt so lonely and so sad for reasons that I don’t even know why.”
Legolas moved closer to me. I felt so safe having him near me. I felt as though nothing could harm me so long as he was there. What was so strange to me was the fact that I felt as though I’ve known Legolas a lifetime. He’s not even real though, he’s a character out of a story, but I felt at that moment as though we’ve known and loved one another a lifetime. I shivered with the thought that just came to head. Legolas was very keen to my thoughts.
“Tell me what you remember my love,” he said gently as he placed his arm around me.
“I looked deep into the water and for what I thought at that point no reason, I called your name softly. Then what seemed like hours later I awoke and,”
Legolas finished my sentence, “and here we are,” he gently kissed my cheek.
I closed my eyes from the feel of his soft lips on my cheek and then I looked to him, “am I still dreaming?”
“What do you think?” he asked standing up taking my hands into his and helping me stand.
“I-I don’t know. When I awoke, you said that you had been waiting for me all night, why didn’t you just awake me?”
“It was not for me to do. I had to let you come into our world of your own free will. When you called my name, I came and I sat by your bedside until the morn. It was all I could do to not touch you, to take you in my arms and show you how much you mean to me. Unfortunately, the time we have is short so must make the most of it.”
“What do you mean? So I am dreaming,” I dropped my head in sadness.
“My sweet Ilona, do not be saddened as the time we have now is short, but there will be more days for us to come, I promise,” Legolas kissed my hand.
“How long do we have?” I asked wrapping my arms around his waist and burying my head into his chest.
“When the sun sets on the 5th day from today, we will have to say farewell,” he placed his chin on the top of my head.
“For how long?” I asked quietly.
“I cannot answer that my love, for that is a question that only YOU have the answer to.”
We stood quietly in each other’s arms.
After several minutes, Legolas pulled away from me gently and then spoke, “come, I have so much to show you of my home, of our home.” He kissed my forehead and took one of my hands in his. I went to push my hair once again off my shoulders. As I did, I brushed against my ear and felt for the first time, it was pointy.
“Oh my,” I said quite surprised.
“What?” Legolas asked looking down at me curiously.
“I’ve discovered my elvan ears.”
“Yes my love, in our world you take on all qualities of an elf.”
“All?” I asked raising an eyebrow.
“All,” Legolas answered winking at me.
“I can shoot a bow?”
“With your eyes closed,” he answered confidently.
“Am I better than you?” I joked.
Legolas stopped walking and looked straight ahead for a moment. He then turned his head slowly toward me with a raised eyebrow.
“Is that a challenge?”
”Do you want it to be?” I asked boldly.
“And that’s what I love about you!” Legolas stroked my cheek and took off running for the hills.
I took off running right behind him and as I did, the strangest thing happened. My nightgown had now become and elvan outfit. I had the tights, the shoes, and the shirt to fit the role. Legolas’ outfit was green and mine was a light blue. My hair was now in a ponytail. A bit later we arrived at a beautiful cottage surrounded by trees, flowers, and a beautiful lake. Legolas walked over to one of the trees and put up a bull eye’s target. A few feet away were the bows and arrows. I was amazed that when we arrived at the cottage that I wasn’t out of breath. As in MY world I wasn’t in the best of shape and a run like that would have killed me! As a matter of fact, I was ready to run another 5 miles if I had too, but first, I had to prove to Legolas who the better archer was. I turned my back to Legolas to look around. To the south were these beautiful mountains. I wondered what was on the other side. I could feel Legolas walking up behind me, not hear him, but feel him. I turned and took a deep breath.
“What is it my sweet?” he asked putting his arms around my waist.
“When you said that I took on all elvan qualities in this world, I guess you weren’t kidding. I could literally FEEL you walking up behind me. Your presence is an amazing feeling!” I reached up and interlocked my fingers and then I stretched leaning backwards.
“Now that’s rather nice,” Legolas said seductively leaning in to kiss my neck.
I dropped my hands to my side and just sighed from the feeling once again of his soft lips now on my neck. I rotated my neck to the other side of course not wanting to miss one single kiss he was willing to give me. After a few moments, I interrupted. I placed my hand gently over his mouth and spoke, “Umm, this will have to wait til I show you who the better archer is.”
“And whom might that be?” he asked kissing my hand and then moving it away from his mouth.
“Come, let us find out,” I gestured to him with my forefinger to follow me and walked ahead.
Legolas gave me a bow and some arrows and took some for himself. We started a certain distance from the tree and proceeded to shoot. I was amazed at how good I was. It was as though I had been doing this all my life. We were now well over 25 feet from the tree and the target and I decided to shot the next arrow with my eyes closed.
“So you say, I’m so good, that I can shoot with my eyes closed huh?” I asked placing the arrow on the bow.
“I have never lied to you my love,” he adjusted his bow and arrow.
“Only one way to find out,” I drew back on the bow, closed my eyes and released. I could hear the arrow flowing through the air and then hitting the target.
“Should I tell you or do you want to find out yourself?” Legolas asked putting his bow down to his side.
I opened my eyes. I looked at the target and then to Legolas. I just could not believe it!
“I told you that I have never lied to you,” Legolas prepared to take his next shot.
We went on for what seemed like hours shooting arrows at this target and neither one of us never missing. We were both now well over 200 feet from the tree. I prepared to shoot again.
“My love, you do know that we could be here all day doing this and neither one of us will miss.”
“I doubt we would be here all day,” I said releasing my shot. A perfect one once again, “I’m sure there are other things we can find to do.”
“Such as, “ he started.
“Oh, I don’t know,” I fiddled with my bow as I talked, “you could show me more of this beautiful world, you could tell me more about your people, you could teach me some more elvan crafts, you could---“
Legolas interrupted abruptly, “I could do this.”

Well???

I've already caught a few spelling errors or wrong words, but point them out for me again anyway so I don't forget to change them.

I'm not normally into Fantasy but this is great in my opinion! Will you post more on here?

Thank you! It would be my pleasure to post more. There is a time when Ilona and Legolas start to speak the elvish language, I made it up of course, but I gave you a translation of what it means right next to it. Pronounce it as you see fit, it is beautiful the way I ran certain characters together. :goodvibes

Here's more:

He threw his bow and pulled me in to him. I dropped my bow from the surprise and just stood there in anticipation for what was next. He grabbed my face with both his hands and placed a kiss on my lips that most women only dream of! It was the most sensual, erotic, and loving kiss that I ever imagined. I stood speechless when we finished. Legolas stroked both my cheeks and spoke softly, “are you okay?”
I took a deep breath and answered, “no.”
Legolas giggled. He leaned in to kiss me gently once again. “Do you know that I have NEVER loved another as I love you?”
“Honestly, no I don’t. Please remember, this is still all so new to me, part of me is trying to figure out when I’m going to wake up, if I’m going to wake up.” I looked away.
Legolas turned my face back to his, “just understand these words, I will ALWAYS love you no matter where you are or what you do. I will love you in this world; I will love you in your world. I will love you now; I will love you in death. You have yet to say the words to me.”
“I-I….” He interrupted me once again.
He placed his hand gently over my lips, “only say it when you are truly ready. It has to come from your heart and nowhere else. I have known from the moment I existed that you were the one for me. I just had to wait for this world to present itself to you. There is no place in your world for me, but there will ALWAYS be a place for you in this world.”
Legolas held me in his arms tightly. I have never felt any kind of love as the one I was feeling right now and was saddened to think that in my world I may never feel it again. It was awhile before we spoke again, but it was as though no more words needed to be said.
“Come,” Legolas took my hand in his and began walking.
“Where are we going?” I asked wiping my tears.
“Into the cottage to hold one another.”
”Isn’t that what we were doing here?” I was confused.
“Yes, and it’s all I want to do, but in the comforts of my home in front of a fire where we can be one with each another.”
As we arrived in the cottage, Legolas placed the lock on the door. He went over to start a fire in the fireplace. I just stayed at the door looking around. I spotted a picture on a table by the door and picked it up. It had the words MY LOVE written on it. I thought that was odd that there was no picture. However, lo and behold before my very eyes a picture of me as an elf appeared where the writing was. I dropped the picture from the shock. Legolas turned quickly and came over to me. He looked down and saw the picture. He leaned over to pick it up.
“I’m, I’m sorry I dropped it.”
“No worries, my love,” he placed the picture back on the table, “no worries.” He brushed my cheek with his finger.
He went back to the fireplace to start the fire. Once he got it going he sat down. “Come sit with me, my sweet,” he suggested patting a spot on the floor next to him.
Still looking at the picture I looked to Legolas before moving.
“How did I get in the picture, I wasn’t there before?” I was so thoroughly confused now.
“It will all make sense to you in time, just come, let me hold you til dawn,” he extended his arms for me.
I walked over to him and sat down. I placed myself with my back against his chest and I rested my head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms tightly around me and also placed his legs over mine. It was so comforting. To my surprise a few moments later, Legolas was singing to me in his elvish language. It bought tears to my eyes.
It was amazing just sitting there in his arms. He was still singing to me, hours had elapsed.
Finally I had fallen asleep. I could still hear Legolas singing to me and he was also gently stroking my hair.
As morning arrived, I discovered that I was now in a bed. I rolled over to find Legolas right next to me. His arm was on my waist. I rested my hand on my cheek and began playing in his hair. I too began singing in the elvan language. It was so natural to me and my voice sounded pretty damn good! I knew the meaning of every word I was singing to him. He awoke.
I continued singing as his eyes opened and he sat up slowly. He let me continue singing. Legolas looked deep into my eyes. I saw tears fall from his eyes. I wiped them as I completed the song.
“Why do you cry?” I asked softly stroking his cheek.
“Your voice, it reaches the very depths of my soul. It gives me a peace that nothing or no one else ever will.”
I smiled and leaned in to kiss his nose. “My voice does that for you, your presence does that for me,” I fell into his arms.
We laid with one another over the next hour just talking and sharing. Suddenly, I sat up and stared out the window.
“What is it my love?” he asked placing his hand on my back.
“I feel despair, someone is lost and hurting deeply,” I closed my eyes from the feeling I was getting. “It’s as though they are without life, no reason to live,” I grabbed my heart.
Legolas came off of the bed and stood in front of me. He placed my hands in his. I stood slowly. I shook my head once as though I was trying to get things into focus. The feeling was gone.
“It is gone,” I said quietly.
“What shall we do today?” Legolas asked pushing my hair off of my shoulders with both hands and then kissing the top of my head.
“I do not know. I am open to any suggestions you have.”
“Are you hungry?” he asked me looking to the table where there was food.
“Not really,” I answered rather surprised that I wasn’t.
“Then let’s get going!” Legolas walked quickly to the door.
“Where are we going?” I asked grabbing my hair to put back into a ponytail.
“Do you really want to know or would you like me to surprise you?” he opened the door.
I thought for a quick moment and then answered, “Surprise me!”
“Come my sweet Ilona, let us go,” Legolas extended his hand.
I hurried to him quickly and off we went.

Over the next few days our adventures were absolutely amazing! I couldn’t believe the things Legolas was showing me or the things that I could do. He introduced me to other elves and to one of his dear friends that was a dwarf. I was also honored to meet the king of a place called Gondor and his lovely bride. What truly amazed me was that the whole time Legolas and I were together we never once made love. It did not upset me though and strangely enough, I didn’t feel the need to be with him that way. The love we shared was special as though nothing was missing. Finally the 5th day arrived and I was so very sad. We were walking through the mountains that were south of the cottage when I finally spoke up.
“Today is the day isn’t it? It’s the day when we say goodbye to one another,” I dropped my head.
“Yes my love it is, but remember what I told you, we will have other days together, I promise you,” he raised my chin til we were eye to eye.
“How do you know that?” I asked shaking my head.
“I just do,” he answered confidently.
A moment of silence came over me and then I began speaking to Legolas in our elvan language. Once again, I knew every word I spoke. They came from my heart, from the very bottom of my soul. The final thing I said in elvan was the most important thing.
“Eeee sas ooo ali, ke ma jeaki ver masoo. Aaaa tee boree Legolas, aaaa tee boree!” (My one true love, you are my heart and soul for an eternity. I love you Legolas, I love you!)
Tears fell from his eyes as he spoke to me, “and I love you from the very depths of my soul too Ilona. I will til the end of time and no two worlds will ever be able to separate us!” Legolas leaned in to me and kissed me passionately.
We walked through the mountains for hours and before I knew it sunset was just on the horizon.
“How do I say goodbye?” I asked with my head in Legolas’ chest.
“We won’t have to say goodbye, I assure you of that, and we will be together again before you know it my sweet.”
“How are you so sure my love?” I asked still nestled in his chest.
“I just am,” he reassured me kissing the top of my head.
As the sun began to set different aspects of the world I was in started to slowly disappear. Tears fell from my eyes once again when I realized how close I was to having let Legolas go after 5 glorious days.
He pulled away from me slowly and looked deep into my eyes. He placed his hand on my cheek and spoke softly to me. First in elvan and then in English, “Reahse na ko brell. Ke ma jeaki ver masoo Ilona. (Our days are eternal. You too are my heart and soul Ilona.) We will be together again, I promise you that. You must never doubt my words or we will never be again. Promise me that,” he stroked both my cheeks with his thumbs never releasing his grasp.
“I trust your words from the bottom of my soul Legolas, abee nas go alee!” (til we meet again!) I leaned in to kiss him for what I believed to be was the final time.
As the sun set, Legolas and everything about our world disappeared. He still had his hands on my cheeks and I could still feel them there even though he wasn’t. Within moments, I passed out cold.
I awoke to find myself in another strange place. It looked like a hospital room. There was a man sitting in a chair at the foot of my bed reading. Nothing looked or felt familiar to me once again. The guy looked from behind the magazine he was reading and then stood quickly. He left and within moments returned with a nurse.
“Hello,” she said to me softly.
It was hard for me to speak.
“Don’t worry if you can’t speak, that’s okay,” she said feeling my forehead and then my cheek with the back of her hand. “So glad to have you back with us, you gave us quite a scare Ilona.”
I looked at her strangely when she said that name.

comments from any other females...I'm off to bed soon, so the ending won't be posted if no one asks.

Not bad, not bad at all.
Better than some of the other fanfics I've read concerning Legolas. At least in yours, he's straight and not lusting after Gimli (eew!) or Aragorn. :rotfl:

OMG!!! Why on god's green earth would they ruin a perfectly sexy elf by having him lust after another man. I would cut someone's hands off for typing that!

I will post the end later, if anyone is interested.

I understand sweetie, but I would still cut off their hands. I mean Legolas, that is NO man's territory! :rolleyes2 :snooty: I traded in my Tigger avatar for Legolas....see <<<<<<<

Just read somewhere that when writing short stories shouldn't use other people's characters, but since I'm not printing this or sending it in for any type of "professional" criticism, I'm leaving it alone. It's a cool fantasy and I wrote it in 1st person, so any female reading could put herself in that spot. ;)

I love it! Post more as soon as you can!

Thanks sweetie! Well since you asked here's the end:

“We assume that’s your name. A few days ago you murmured it as you were drifting in and out. Is that your name?”
I simply nodded my head yes. I then looked to the man standing next to her. How handsome he was, but who was he? I had never seen him before a day in my life. The nurse caught my glance.
“Oh, this is Orlando Ilona, and he’s been here with you since the first day you were brought in.”
“Well considering I’m the reason you are here, I couldn’t see being anywhere else but here with you til you came back to our world,” he winked at me and then smiled.
He had an accent, one that seemed familiar to me.
I finally found the energy to speak, “why am I here, what happened to me?”
The nurse looked to Orlando to speak.
“I was out doing one of my leisurely drives in the country and as I rounded a curve, you were just standing there. I had nowhere to go and even if I did, there was no time. I hit you and sent you flying nearly 100 feet beyond where my car was. I thought you were dead, but as I ran over to you to see, your body was still shaking. I believe you were in shock. I got on my phone and dialed 911 and he we are.”
The ‘and here we are’ also sounded familiar to me, but I couldn’t’ place why.
“Is there anything I can get you?” the nurse asked picking up my chart from the foot of the bed.
“No, I’m okay right now, but thank you,” I tried to sit up. Orlando moved quickly near me to help me out. When he touched me, it sent chills up my spine.
“Is that good for you?” he asked adjusting my pillow.
“Yes, th-thank you,” I just looked into his eyes for the first time. I got chills once again.
The nurse wrote a few things down and then looked up at the clock. She wrote down the time and then put my chart back at the foot of the bed. “I’m going to get Dr. Aragon, he’s been taking care of you since you were admitted, Ilona. Be back shortly okay?” She smiled at me.
“Okay,” I nodded my head.
“So, do you have any family we can contact for you?” Orlando asked sitting next to me on the bed.
“I-I don’t remember,” I looked down from embarrassment.
“Hey, no need to be embarrassed, they say these kind of things happen with an accident of your type,” Orlando tried to make eye contact with me, but I wouldn’t look up. “Ilona, everything’s going to be just fine love,” he raised my chin so our eyes met. This time I had another feeling come over me, one of peace. I could not for the life of me place where all these mixture of feelings were coming from.
The nurse came back in with Dr. Aragon. They ran a few tests on me and told me I would probably released in the next few days. I was worried, as I couldn’t remember if I worked or how I was going to pay these bills. After the nurse and Dr. left, I spoke to Orlando in private.
“I don’t know how I’m going to pay these hospital bills. How long have I been here?”
“This is your sixth day,” Orlando answered moving closer to the bed again.
“Wow, six days of hospital bills. I’ll be paying them off til I’m 100 years old!” I shook my head.
“You will not be paying a single dime. I have everything taken care of, I assure you of that.” He sat next to me once again.
I looked at him once again with his last comment and tried to place why it sounded so familiar.
“Why do you stare at me so?” he asked pushing my hair out of my eyes.
“Mmm, there are some things you’ve said to me, several that I’ve heard before, but I can’t place where.”
Orlando just grinned and looked up at the clock on the wall. “It’s lunchtime, what may I bring you?”
“Oh, it doesn’t matter, I’m open to any suggestions you have.” I looked off to the right after my comment. “Now that sounded familiar,” I kinda said to myself.
“I will be back shortly my sweet,” Orlando winked at me and hurried off quickly.

Over the next couple of days, Orlando was right there with me. He went home each day for maybe a couple of hours at time to freshen up and change, but the majority of his time was spent right there with me. Some parts of my memory had returned, but as far as I was concerned, my name was still Ilona. I remember vaguely coming out of a very bad relationship, so I had no place to stay. Orlando resolved that by offering me his place with my own bedroom and service of maid and butler if need be.
I had just come out of the bathroom from changing into street clothes. Orlando had gone to a store to buy me this really neat outfit. It was light blue in color and it was a short skirt, with a long blouse to go with it. He also bought me light blue tights and a pair of light blue clogs to go with it.
“You’ve got this thing for blue I take it?” I asked extending my arms and turning around so he could see the outfit on me.
“I do,” he chuckled, “you look amazing!”
“Thank you,” I blushed a bit and walked over to sit in the chair.
“They are getting you a wheelchair and then it’s home we go!”
“Cool!” I said placing my hands in my lap.
A nurse arrived with a wheelchair and I could finally say goodbye to this dreary room I had been in over the last 10 days. As we arrived outside the hospital, Orlando went to pull his car to the door. The nurse helped me in and Orlando and I were off on a new adventure. I was looking out the window and amazed by the countryside I was seeing. It was glorious! Flowers everywhere, trees as far as the eye could see and mountains to the south of us that were absolutely beautiful.
“I don’t remember any of this, it’s so sad,” I shook my head.
“Don’t worry, love, we’ll make new memories, together!” he stroked my cheek with his finger as he turned into his driveway.
It was an extended driveway as his house sat way back away from roadside. I thought I was going to pass out at first glance of his home. It was phenomenal!
Orlando helped me out of the car and we walked to the front door. I stopped for moment to look around. I spotted a tree and by it were bows and arrows. There were some horses in a field behind a fence a couple 100 feet away. I turned south and saw the mountains once again. I then turned back to Orlando.
“You do archery?” I asked curiously.
“A little here and there, nothing much really.”
“Are you any good?”
“I was told by a dear friend that I could shoot accurately with my eyes closed.”
It was all becoming clear to me now, as I had been there before.
“I know you,” I said looking into his eyes. “It’s from my dreams, but I know you.”
“Are you sure it was a dream…my love?” he placed his hand on my cheek and looked deeper into my eyes.
I fell against him in total shock. This could not be happening. The man standing in front of me had dark curly hair, brown eyes, a mustache and a goatee. Legolas was an elf with blond hair, blue eyes and clean-shaven. However both the accents were the same and the intensity that I now hear in his voice was of that in my dream.
Orlando held me close until I was able to come to my senses again.
“This cannot be happening! There is no way what I dreamed or thought I dreamed is now in part coming true,” I looked up at him in disbelief.
“Is it truly that hard to believe? What is the saying about dreams do come true?” he kissed the top of my forehead.
I closed my eyes from pure joy. I had felt those lips before.
I just had a serious revelation. “Oh my gosh, I just realized when I was elf and that feeling of despair, pain, and the will not to live was coming from me, but in this world! I was feeling my own despair in another world!” I began crying, “I can’t believe it.”
Orlando held me tightly in his arms. “Come, let’s go inside my sweet, you need to rest.” Orlando began walking still holding me tightly.
I nodded my head in agreement. I was overwhelmed and didn’t know how much more I could handle.
As Orlando unlocked the door, he looked down at me and said something that left me speechless, “Reahse na ko brell. Ke ma jeaki ver masoo Ilona.” (Our days are eternal. You are my heart and soul Ilona.)
I fainted. Orlando caught me, closed the door with his foot and proceeded to carry me upstairs to the bedroom. He placed me gently on the bed and placed a blanket over me. He walked over to look out the window. After several minutes, I began to come to. As I did a very strange site appeared before my eyes. Orlando had his back to me looking out of the window and right next to him Legolas appeared smiling. I sat up slowly and smiled. Legolas spoke, only I of course could hear him.
“I told you that we would be together again, didn’t I?”
I nodded my head.
“Always remember my love, that you are a part of me eternally, and we will never be separated.” Legolas began to step into Orlando’s body. I spoke out loud, “Aaaa tee boree Legolas, aaaa tee boree!”
Orlando turned. I could tell there was something a little different about him. He opened his eyes as though he was experiencing something. He had formed a fist with both hands just as Legolas became one with him. He walked over to me and sat on the bed next to me. He responded to my last comment, “and I love you too Ilona, with all my heart, with all my soul.” He placed his hand on my cheek.
I placed my hand on his and spoke, “Orlando?” I questioned not sure whom I was speaking to.
“Who else would I be my love?” he raised his eyebrow.
“No one, I’m sorry. I’m just trying to understand how after only knowing me for less than 2 weeks, you love me as much as you do.”
“I just do my love, accept it. You will come to understand before you even know it.” He winked at me and smiled.
I wrapped my arms tightly around Orlando and held him close. I spoke these words in his ear softly, “Eeee sas ooo ali, ke ma jeaki ver masoo. Aaaa tee boree Orlando, aaaa tee boree!” (My one true love, you are my heart and soul. I love you Orlando, I love you!)
Orlando made eye contact with me. There were tears in both our eyes. I don’t know how it happened but I wasn’t going to question it. The love I was feeling at the moment is the love that some girls only dream of, I did and now it has become a reality. But did I dream it? Orlando and I were speaking and understanding one another in a non-existent language. We said things to one another that someone else would simply call gibberish. Elves don’t really exist, or do they? What sweet dreams I had of one elf named Legolas. He was my love my soul mate, we were destined by his words to spend an eternity together, and an eternity together, it shall be. I assure you of that!

I made some changes through the night while here on the DIS. I will probably make more changes too. Probably should have waited to print it, but by doing so, I can see what I don't like on paper and make the changes here on computer. I appreciate all those that replied and look forward to reading more in the morning. Nite my friends!

Hey, Frodo was not bad looking if I do say so myself. And as strange as it sounds, the more the ring got a hold of him, the sexier he became! ;) :rolleyes1

Well, I loved it. I have not read very much fantasy before, but I really liked it. I found myself wishing that it was longer.

I did notice a few gramatical errors, but that is to be expected when writing anything very long.(I don't mean for that to be mean, just that I noticed them.)
