Ok, so I remember reading something here about how premier passholders are now only allowed to ride once per attraction using the Express line. I went to check at the Universal website and sure enough it says

††Valid only after 4pm (one time per attraction) at participating attractions using the Universal Express Plus queue. Anticipated maximum wait time is 15 minutes. Not valid during separately ticketed events like Halloween Horror Nights. Universal Express Plus is not valid at Fievel's Playland, Pteranodon Flyers, the front row seating line queues for the Incredible Hulk Coaster and Dueling Dragons.

But why is it that on top when they first mention the benefits it says Unlimited Universal ExpressSMPlus†† after 4:00pm

Isn't that a little misleading? Or is the word "unlimited" just part of the official name of the express pass and thats why they get away with using the word "unlimited"? But whatever, my pass is expiring this month and I'm not renewing anyway. I've had it for 3 years but I can't afford it with this economy and I also don't want to go anywhere near the parks with all this Harry Potter nonsense going on anyway. (I will be going to HHN though) ;) So, anywho, my question is.. Are they actually enforcing this new rule or is it still the same as before? (meaning the employees are completely clueless about how the premier express pass thingy works)

Oh and while I'm at it is Dueling Dragons open? I'm heading out tomorrow (well, today really) and I want to give it one last go!

Dueling Dragons is open.

And I will find out more about this rule when I go tomorrow...

What the??!?!?!?! If this is true, Guest Relations had better be ready for some pretty serious jumping down their throats by yours truly. This is one of the main reasons DH and I pop big bucks for the Premier pass. I mean, we really don't need the free water when the park is full of fountains. They better be ready to refund some $$$$ if they're going to take away perhaps the most significant benefit (yeah, they probably reserve the right to make changes somewhere in the fine print but this would be idiotic on their part). Can you tell I'm a little miffed if it's true?

If I had the Premier AP, I would be really ticked off to see that perk cut back and would expect some sort of refund since they were promoting the unlimited Express access and I imagine lots of people signed up because of it. Now I wonder how many will downgrade back to the Preferred?

Yeah. I'm kind of sitting here with baited breath wondering if this is really going to be true. It really does take out the MAIN perk that comes along with the pass.

Please someone give us a report if this is now happening in the park.

I don't know when this new policy started. My guess it because of Potter.
The only multiple rides I would care about are Hulk, Dragons, Mummy and MIB. (Rocket will never have Express IMHO)

they have been scanning the Premier pass since they started using scanners started and last week it was still beeping like it always did. I was able to do multiple rides on Hulk and Dragons last week (note that Dragons only had a 10 min wait so maybe they didn't care). the one time I was on the US side Mummy wasn't running. Spent my time riding the Rocket.

edited to add...

found this on the wayback website, the premier page from april 2008

It would actually be pretty boring in comparison to my go-rounds with them last year over the rampant smoking (and nasty drunks who don't appreciate being asked to stop) during Halloween Horror Nights. I'm sure they were sick of seeing me...it would have made for some pretty amusing footage.

I know what ya mean about the over drinking at HHN.Year before last this group was so drunk that one upchucked in front of us and kept falling down.:sad2: Now I like to drink my beer, but I have never gotten to that point.Anyway security did nothing about it!!:confused3

As far as smoking ciggs in line,I will admit I have done it more then once. But security was all over me.I do try to keep my smoking to myself and try not to bother others. When I see a 2hr wate and every third person got a cigg I will tend to light up-but I'm the one they catch 1'st!!:confused3 I do complie and put it out and if someone inline asked me to not do it I will not.But it does run rampent at HHN!!

Well... It looks like they weren't enforcing it this weekend. I didn't want to push my luck so I only went on each ride twice but both times they'd scan my pass and it would go through fine. I'm guessing the fine print is for when the new Harry Potter section opens. I also noticed from the people around me in line that they've added bar codes to the hotel key cards too. I didn't see them scanning the cards though.

I called Guest Services yesterday and am awaiting a return call. First I was told there is no limit, but I pointed the person to the website and he saw the one-ride limit. He said he would check into it and get back to me because there was no change as far as he knows. Still waiting.
