We have been DVCers since Jan. Just wondered how many other Tarheelers (no offense to fellow Wolfpackers) belong to DVC. How long have you been members, which is your home resort, which is your favorite resort and any other info. you might want to share. Look forward to hearing from yall.
By the way, our home resort is WLV, dont have a favorite because we havent been yet(going home 1st time in Dec.). Lets just see where this post will lead.

We live in Chapel Hill--my husband is a graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC, I am a doctoral fellow in the UNC School of Public Health, and my 10 yo DD is a UNC wannabe!

We have been DVCers since 1995, and own at OKW, HH, and BWV. We love DVC, especially HH! We spend 3 weeks a year at HH, and another 2 weeks at WDW (either OKW or BW). We take family and friends with us sometimes. We have taken the 4 and 7-day DCL, used concierge at the Mauna Lani Bay and Kapalua Bay in Hawaii, and Charleston Place (all were fabu). Next year we are hoping to stay at the Grand Californian at DL. We love to travel, and this is an affordable way to do it.

Best of luck to you--hope you can attend our next DVC meet in the Triangle area.

Fellow WolfPackers from Cary here ;) . We bought at VWL in December of 2000 (waited a year and a half for this place to open!), so obviously, it is our favorite. We will be at VWL this December and so looking forward to it. This will be our third December there. In 2000, it was cash only and we wanted to try before we buy. I still cannot believe we paid $300 for a hotel room. YIKES!!

I hope you really enjoy your new DVC purchase!

We live in High Point and joined in 95!
We love our homes at HH, OKW, and Vero!

We just wish we were a little closer so we could go more often!

We live in Lexington, and purchased at BWV in 2000. We added points at HH this year, as well as VB. I am a total Disney fanatic, but my kids are out-growing the "magic", and their schedules are definitely limiting our trips! We enjoy sharing our trips with family and friends(taking both on our next trip), and like most other DVC'ers, our only regret is not purchasing sooner!

We just moved to Charlotte last November and we love being so close to HH!! We have gone 3 times for short trips since we got here. We bought HH in 1999.

Hi ya'll, we are in Raleigh and have been DVC owners since Nov of 99. We waited and bought OKW points when they made the newest building points available. We also did an add-on at BCV when it became available. We have stayed at OKW, BWV, HH and BCV. Since April of 2001 we have had 7 trips on points. We hope to head to Disneyland next year and use points at the Grand Californian.

Good thread jimmytammy, it is nice to know our fellow neighbors here and at DVC.

We live in Cary and have been DVC members since '95. We bought the minimal amount of points (150) at OKW, and have been in the "borrowing" mode ever since! Maybe once the kids get through college we can finally add on points! lol

I've met a lot of wonderful NC people on these boards! We've had several DIS/DVC meets in the Raleigh area. Looks like we should set up another one soon so we can meet all the new people who are responding to this post. :)

Thanks yall! I enjoy reading fellow N Carolinians reports and look forward to getting together at next lunch...we had plans during last get together but would love to meet all yall sometime.

I'm not a wolfpacker or a tarheel, but I do live in Raleigh! :)

All of my points are at BWV. I'd like to do an add on next year, not sure where. It will probably be a resale because I don't want to pay the big bucks Disney is asking for points now! I'd kind of like to own at VWL next time.

I agree -- let's have another get together! Who wants to volunteer to organize it? Heather? wink wink jk We could use the clubhouse in my neighborhood-- we've got grills and an outdoor fireplace on the big porch. I'm thinking a nice, crisp fall evening would be perfect..... :D

As long as we don't make it the last week in October - we're going to VWL for MNSSHP! :) Hey, have you been off the DVC board for a while? It just seems like I haven't seen many posts from you lately.

I agree... Heather did such a great job putting together the last one, maybe we should just vote her permanent get together setter upper! ha ha ... ha ha

Hi There All! We live in Cary and we just closed on a 200 pt BWV re-sale last week - so needless to say we are looking forward to our first trip to our new home - probably in January. We stayed there in 2000 and loved the BWV and we finally got our act together to make the purchase happen.

How often are there DVC meetings in the triangle? I would love to go and hear about all that is happening and any tips/tricks so we make good use of our points/time.

Thanks!:smooth:

 AAAHHHH!!!
No really, I would do it again but closer to or in Raleigh next time - sorry Jon :p I'm in Clayton by the way JimmyTammy which is about 15 minutes outside of Raleigh. We've been owners since May of 2000 with 200 points at Boardwalk. We just returned from a trip at the BCV (my baby's first trip to WDW)- read report somewhere below and next time hope to stay at the VWL.
I'll second the vote for DVCajun's clubhouse!!

Congratulations and Welcome Home!!!

We are looking forward to our 1st trip home also

Jon, I've been around-- I guess I may have been spending a little more time on some other forums lately.

Heather, bless your heart, so nicely offering yourself for the slaughter again! ;)

I have an idea. My club is available Saturday 11/9. I won't actually rent the club so others may be there, but that's not a big deal. We will still have full use of the facility, which also boasts a pool table! :) I'm quite a horrible pool player but I love playing. Go figure.

So, what do you think of a potluck? We can each bring a side dish and something to grill-- or skip the grill altogether and just bring covered dishes.

Whadoyathink?? I'll just get a quick vote on this thread and then start another thread for the actual invitation.

For those of you who don't know, I live in North Raleigh, off of Durant Road.

Little sweetp (Cailyn) and I are up for another DVC party! Nov. 9 works for us.

My inlaws are coming for a visit this weekend so I may not be on the computer much. I'll be too busy drinking and banging my head against a wall.

But keep the thoughts and opinions coming and we'll figure it out next week!
