Felling a little blue today.....

Today was the 1st day of school for Alex (6) and Lucas (4). Alex is at a new school this year (500+ students) for 1st grade, and I thought he would freak out, but he just walked in and sat down in his chair and started on the puzzle the teacher had laid out for him. After coffee in the cafeteria, it was on to Lucas' school for 4K. He went there (small church school about 60 students) last year, but he still sniffled and whined for about 20 minutes. Then he finally got interested in the Playdoh the teacher had set out for him, and I could finally leave....

I didn't cry, but I am REALLY blue...

I guess I'll have to do what every red-blooded woman does when she gets depressed....I'm going shopping....

Thanks for listening....I don't know if I can take 13 more years of this....

My DS3 starts preschool the day we get back from WDW & I have a feeling he'll be the same way. So bittersweet!

Those 13 years will be gone in a flash!
This is the first year that I haven't sent anyone off to school.....seems so odd. Instead I am putting my "baby" on a plane to Hawaii on Wed.

Have fun shopping!! I think that might be what I do on Wed. also

I live 1 block from our h.s. The other day, me and my youngest dd walked up to orientation, cause she will be a freshman. I told her, just think, in 4 years, I will be walking you up here for your graduation. I told her it will go really fast.

Then I told her remember when we walked up here for Kindergarden, you had on a light blue & white dress. My dd gave me a hug and said, don't worry mom, I'll wear a dress when I graduate, but not the 1st day of h.s.
