...when I got hit by a truck.
On October 25th I was in a very serious car accident. I won't go into too many details, but basically someone ran a red light going about 55 - 60 miles per hour and hit me. They were in a substantial pickup truck whereas I was in a nissan maxima. Thankfully, the maxima is a darn sturdy car and took the brunt of the damage (getting totaled in the process). I was extremely lucky and walked away with no major injuries, not even minor whiplash. I was covered in purple-black bruises and several cuts and scrapes but there will be no long term injuries to contend with.
However, this has been a major set back in my life. Emotionally I was a wreck for 2 weeks after. Im also a 3rd year university student with a very heavy courseload in English and History. It put me behind in my studies and into a very distracted mental state.
I'm feeling much better now, nearly 3 weeks after my accident. Although im dismayed to discover than any weightloss progress I had made before the accident has been sent back to square 1. I've not worked out or watched what I've been eating and I'm suffering with the consequences.
But....
I'm ready to get back on that wagon
I have 5 weeks until Christmas and my goal is to lose 10 lbs by that time.
I will not deprive myself of the foods I adore over the holidays, though I will be working to maintain my weight loss.
Come January 4th (back to school) I will be shooting for another 10lb loss by Feb 8th. Then 10 more by March 15th, 10 more by april 19th and my last 10 by May 15th - the day I leave for my May WDW Vacation.
It is an ambitious goal, 50lbs in 24 weeks, however it works out to a healthy loss of about 2 lbs per week.
Just wanted to officially get my gameplan in writing. Thanks for reading
