Have recently started the Feingold Diet for my son. The only real issue thus far is we go to Disney in a few weeks and we won’t be in a place to make our own food to take to the parks.

I apologize if I have missed a thread. However, does anyone have any tips on where/what to eat that works? Of course he’s looking forward to all of his fav Disney foods but we have seen real improvement and don’t know that I want to totally slide for a week.

Note it on your reservations. Ask to see the chef at every venue, if one doesn't automatically come to see you.

The best thing to do, especially for this diet which is kind of complicated, is to assume none of the restaurants/chefs will know what it is.

Make a list of ‘can have’ and ‘avoid’ foods to show at restaurants.
Some people made a list of their dietary needs and laminated it to protect it.
Other people have made multiple copies to use at each restaurant and then throw away.

You can also look at menus ahead of time - some are posted on the My Disney Experience app. You can also find pretty up to date menus here: https://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/disneydining.cfm

The quick service (counter service) restaurants have ingredient books for all their foods that you can request to look at also.

Thank you both! Was hoping someone had a disboards secret society list but assumed it wouldn’t be that easy! will add it to our reservations. Thank you!

I had to look up that diet. I would have a list ready of things that your son can eat. Disney has a wide variety of fresh items so I am sure he won't go hungry. If you can either stop at the store to pick up some things or order online, that would help. On a personal note, my niece is autistic and many years ago, my sister changed her diet. She cut out dairy, soy, and processed foods. The change was immediate. We very much are, "you are what you eat". I am no scientist or doctor, but I have been around for a while. And from personal observations over the years, I do not think that it is a coincidence that there are so many more ADHD, and autism diagnosis in the past 15-20 with all of the wide variety of processed foods and preservatives, etc that we are eating now.
