Feige confirms Deadpool 3 in mcu and r-rated

What is Deadpool and why is he such a popular Marvel character? I started liking him when I saw a Deadpool plushie and I'm supposed to get him sometime in the mail but I don't know when I will get it yet? And now they are gonna make a Deadpool 3 soon? How is that possible? What I think Marvel is planning to do is make an entire Deadpool franchise series and make it the third most popular franchise next to Spiderman and the Iron Man series of films. But I think Deadpool 3 will be a strong hit when it's made and brought into theaters

I'm less familiar with the comics but my understanding is that he's several notches more sarcastic than the usual Marvel hero, lots of inside jokes and dark humor. Ryan Reynolds stepped into the role seamlessly because it seems like nearly all of his characters are the same type of guy and HE'S that type of guy. It was a perfect fit and Deadpool is a really fun movie if you're into that sort of thing.

As for a series, or a continuation beyond Deadpool 3... it probably depends on money, I think that's what partly held up D3.

The thing is though that in the comics it was never R-rated. Most mainstream comics land solidly inthe PG/PG-13 area. I believe it was a video game that gave Deadpool the very R-rated persona, but it wasn't needed if you ask me.

Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool? I never knew that because I only just began liking Deadpool after seeing his plushie and once I ordered it I started looking up anything Deadpool related I could find. And when my family was eating Mexican food the other day I was eating and I said " I'm eating Mexican food just like Deadpool" and my mother laughed and smiled at me. I hope Deadpool 3 is fun when it gets made and released and I hope more Juice Newton songs are in it too because ever since I started learning about Deadpool Juice Newton's cover of Angel Of The Morning has been in rotation in my stereo now

The 1st Deadpool film was a badly needed breath of fresh air when it released. It was the superhero movie for people who were tired of the genre. You had the MCU riding high in phase 1, and other studios were also pumping out a ton of adaptations. Reynolds knew this well after working on Green Lantern that it was time for a change. He put together an unapologetic R-rated satire on the genre with a 4th wall breaking version of himself in Deadpool. It was the perfect time for that type of film and I though it hit all the marks.

I think there's a lot more variety in the superhero genre now, and you've got more satire in stuff like James Gunn's Suicide Squad / Peacemaker, and Prime is creating multiple shows around The Boys. Deadpool 3 is fine with me to close out a trilogy, but after that I don't know if we'll see any more solo films ... just get his character into the MCU for crossovers.

Just glad Ryan got the chance to clean up the timeline for the character after what happened to him in X-Men Origins: Wolverine…

Yep, he had a lot of fun cleaning up his Wolverine and Green Lantern messes with the Deadpool series. I'd love to see Deadpool 3 take on the MCU (or Disney's entire IP) to close the series out.

You aren't wrong, it's just Ryan Reynolds in a suit. Which works great for me, because I love Ryan Reynolds! But if you can't stand him, definitely not the movies for you!
It’s funny because it’s basically what he’s literally intended to be. Thanks to this glorious panel.
