Feet Blisters and Body Glide

What size do you Bodyglide-users recommend?

1. Pocket sized, so everyone has their own?

2. Large, so you get the most value for your $$?

3. Other thoughts?

How long does a stick usually last?

I am very blister prone. I had never had a trip to WDW that did not involve blisters until I learned about body glide on these boards. It did not matter what kind of shoes I wore. Since then, I have had several WDW trips and a couple of DL trips and not one blister! DD is blister prone too, and we learned of body glide before her first trip and she has never had a blister. I also blister every time I get a new pair of shoes and DD has that tendency too although not as bad as I do. I've now use bodly glide every time I get a new pair of shoes too, and again...no blisters! Same with DD. I swear by the stuff!

couponr- for a week at WDW, I buy each person a medium sized one. Part of that is the thought of rubbing something on my feet that has been already been all over someone elses feet. :laughing: One year we did small ones for everyone, and I ran out and had to use DD's. I put a good coat on my feet every morning before going out to the parks, and I put it on all over because I can get blisters anywhere the shoes touch, not just my heels. We don't take mid-day breaks, but on the rare occasion we were to come back to the room for some reason- then if I took my shoes off, I would probably re-apply before heading out to the parks again. DH is not blister prone, so he only puts a little bit on his heels just in case, and he could probably use a small one for several trips before running out. DD (6) obviously doesn't have adult sized feet, so she can get by with a small one for a week easily too. I'm really the only one that needs the medium...but it would be a crisis if we ran out for DD and I so I don't take chances!

I use Body Glide on inner thighs and all over feet, but just once in the mornings. I was just at WDW May 5th-12th and had one small one. It was plenty. When my husband and I go, I always carry one big one.
 

It seems like Body Glide works well with socks but I will be wearing sandals.
Should I try the anti-perspirant? :scratchin
I know that moleskin will not stay on my feet.

I usually don't get blisters but I did get one a few months ago so I just want to try and prevent it.

This is good advice. If you still have problems, try a different product instead. I've used Monistat anti-chafing cream with great results - it dries to a kind of powdery finish, rather than being "slick."

I like this also, but becomes a little soft when packing it around in the heat. I mostly use it first thing.


I have used Bodyglide, Band Aid brand, Gold Bond stick, and the Monistat anti chaffing gel. They 'all' work. I let mine 'fully' dry before putting on shoes - they don't get slippery.

I use the Band Aid blister block (same as the Body Glide stick) and I still can't believe how great it works. I've never had to use it with socks/sneakers, but I used it all last summer and fall with sandals and ballet flats and it worked wonders. Before then I could never wear a pair of ballet flats for more than an hour without blisters. Now I can walk in them for 12 hours with not the slightest hot spot or discomfort. It's definitely worth a try!

Who knew?!? I never would have dreamed of putting antiperspirant/anti-chafing stick on my feetsies!!! I love these brilliant tips. :thumbsup2
