Feet Blisters and Body Glide

What size do you Bodyglide-users recommend?

1. Pocket sized, so everyone has their own?

2. Large, so you get the most value for your $$?

3. Other thoughts?

How long does a stick usually last?

TIA! :cheer2:

I am very blister prone. I had never had a trip to WDW that did not involve blisters until I learned about body glide on these boards. It did not matter what kind of shoes I wore. Since then, I have had several WDW trips and a couple of DL trips and not one blister! DD is blister prone too, and we learned of body glide before her first trip and she has never had a blister. I also blister every time I get a new pair of shoes and DD has that tendency too although not as bad as I do. I've now use bodly glide every time I get a new pair of shoes too, and again...no blisters! Same with DD. I swear by the stuff!

couponr- for a week at WDW, I buy each person a medium sized one. Part of that is the thought of rubbing something on my feet that has been already been all over someone elses feet. One year we did small ones for everyone, and I ran out and had to use DD's. I put a good coat on my feet every morning before going out to the parks, and I put it on all over because I can get blisters anywhere the shoes touch, not just my heels. We don't take mid-day breaks, but on the rare occasion we were to come back to the room for some reason- then if I took my shoes off, I would probably re-apply before heading out to the parks again. DH is not blister prone, so he only puts a little bit on his heels just in case, and he could probably use a small one for several trips before running out. DD (6) obviously doesn't have adult sized feet, so she can get by with a small one for a week easily too. I'm really the only one that needs the medium...but it would be a crisis if we ran out for DD and I so I don't take chances!

I use Body Glide on inner thighs and all over feet, but just once in the mornings. I was just at WDW May 5th-12th and had one small one. It was plenty. When my husband and I go, I always carry one big one.

It seems like Body Glide works well with socks but I will be wearing sandals.
Should I try the anti-perspirant? :scratchin
I know that moleskin will not stay on my feet.

I usually don't get blisters but I did get one a few months ago so I just want to try and prevent it.

Thanks for any advice :goodvibes

This is good advice. If you still have problems, try a different product instead. I've used Monistat anti-chafing cream with great results - it dries to a kind of powdery finish, rather than being "slick."

I like this also, but becomes a little soft when packing it around in the heat. I mostly use it first thing.

I have used Bodyglide, Band Aid brand, Gold Bond stick, and the Monistat anti chaffing gel. They 'all' work. I let mine 'fully' dry before putting on shoes - they don't get slippery.

I use the Band Aid blister block (same as the Body Glide stick) and I still can't believe how great it works. I've never had to use it with socks/sneakers, but I used it all last summer and fall with sandals and ballet flats and it worked wonders. Before then I could never wear a pair of ballet flats for more than an hour without blisters. Now I can walk in them for 12 hours with not the slightest hot spot or discomfort. It's definitely worth a try!
