So, I'm quite curious to hear other peoples' opinions on the subject. Now, I'm not talking about weirdos who hang out on street corners in trench coats, but real, true nudists or naturalists. I myself am not a nudist, but we have a couple of friends who are and as such are pretty laid back on the subject. We've also visited a clothing-optional resort with them - it was quite possibly the friendliest and most laid-back place i've ever been to.

So, how do you feel about nudists and nudism in general?

Whatever floats your boat I say! If people are comfortable with it and they're away from the general public, I see nothing wrong with it. It's fairly common in other parts of the world.

I say if it makes you happy, go for it. Just please don't do it where I can see you....there are some people who just need to wear something.

When I was first married, we rented a townhouse who had apparently been rented by nudists. We got all kinds of brochures for this nudist colony in Florida, and some gated community that showed the neighbors outside buck naked washing their cars and watering their flowers.

It didn't look at all like it should. They really should have used body doubles or models if they actually wanted people to live there. :scared1:

And yes we looked! :lmao: If something is delivered to your house in a plain wrapper to Mr. and Mrs. Blah Blah or current resident, you bet I'm checking it out. I just wish I hadn't.

I don't have feelings about it either way.... but I do think most people look better with their clothes ON.... :thumbsup2

Carefully...but as often as possible.

I have helped build houses in these colony's here in Florida. It was hard keeping focus on my work.I'm not bashful at all but you gotta be free minded to live like that.I could not do it,but thats me.Too each there own!

There are times when I wish I could be one. Think of it no laundry, no ill fitting clothes and really clothes can be so uncomfortable at times.

Don't have a problem with it but I do know for a fact that I look better with lots of clothes on. :rotfl2:

Certainly not my cup of tea. I'm not comfortable enough with my body to want to go sans clothes, no do I particularly enjoy seeing others sans clothes. But if it's what they want- go for it! I just won't visit your colony or whatever.

On a cruise a couple years back we took a group tour on St Marteen and one of the honeymoon couples wanted to visit a nude beach :scared:. The driver backed in the parking slot for those that did not wish to view. It was my first time, so as curiosity killed the cat, I turned and had a peak :rotfl:! They were playing volleyball, horse shoes, etc. and let's just say they left much to be desired. :rotfl2:

I wonder tho, when they ofter cruises for the nude, do they have covers on the guest chairs?!?! :rolleyes1 :scared1: :lmao:

There are certain people who I think shouldn't be allowed to wear shorts around others nonetheless be full nudists.

Wouldn't be for me, but I have no problem with the choices other people make.
I'm thinking the world is a better place with me walking around it clothed. ;)

In my lifetime I have met one couple and one family that admitted to being nudists. I know this is going to sound horrible, but NONE of those people should have been without clothing. :scared1:  It is kind of like the Speedo. While I am not a fan, if there is some buff guy walking around with one, it may not be too bad. Unfortunately, those aren't the people I see wearing them. The last guy I saw with a Speedo stopped right in front of my low to the ground beach chair. He was probably 80, wrinkly and hairy. Not something I wanted to see right in front of my face. :scared1:

I'm pretty liberal on this subject when it comes to what people wear in private. Nudist colonies count as private to me since they're not out flaunting it in my face like the man did in your situation. But when it comes to certain people wearing less in public, I agree with Jeff Foxworthy in that there needs to be an application process you have to go through in order to wear that speedo or pair of short-shorts.

I cannot imagine playing volleyball sans bra. That would be so incredibly painful.
