Okay, Im confused. I know, perfect time to be confused, a day before we leave.

Fastpasses. How in the world do you know what attractions to get fastpasses for and when? Im only concerned about this for Magic Kingdom. How did you guys pick when and what to get fastpasses for? Someone told me that If I get a fastpass for spacemoun. that it will have a time when I can get my next fastpass. How long is the time inbetween when you can get your next one usually? We are wanting to see pretty much all the rides that have fastpass. I guess Im just wondering how you decided what to get fastpasses for and in what order.

Thanks!

1. You'll know which rides are fastpas because there will be machines nearby and the top board above the entrance will have a fastpass return line.

2. My rule is if a line is over 30 minutes, I fastpass that attraction. If it is over 20 minutes, I consider fastpassing it.

3. When you get a fastpass, it will have a time as to when you can get another one. This is either 2 hours after you get the fastpass or the beginning of your fastpass return window of time whichever comes first.

4. You cannot control when your fastpass return time wil be. But it will tell you on the board above the machines.

6. I don't know anything about your party or what you want to ride on or how much you want to walk and criss cross the park. so I can't tell you what to hit first.

Good luck and have fun.

Oh if you don't want to do dumbo and that stuff, I'd probably hit the mountains first.
If you do want dumbo, that should be done early. It fills up and there's no fastpass. Ouch. Then go for the peter pan and pooh.

Another point: I always keep an active fastpass. Get a Soarin' fastpass early in the day; when busy, they are often gone by noon or early afternoon. Since you are leaving now, I will offer you this. My daughter is CM at Tof T and she says the crowds are really light right now. She told us last week that there were no lines at MGM longer than 20 minutes and that FP's weren't even necessary. The only exception to that might be EE at AK but she didn't know.

When we went in May last year (more towards the end though), we only used FP for PP at MK, Soarin', M:S, and TT at Epcot. That was it. Hopefully you will have the same luck!! Have a wonderful trip!!

This strategy has always worked well for us during the spring break season. Be at the park at park opening. Get fast passes for one ride (i.e. Space Mountain) and then immediately go to another popular ride (i.e. Splash Mountain) and wait in line. Once the window has opened on your fast pass ride, go and get a fast pass for a third ride (i.e. Buzz Lightyear) before riding the original fast pass ride (Space). That way you always have valid fast passes in your pocket.

Our rule is never to wait in a standby line that is more than 20 minutes.

Hope this isn't too confusing!

Have a wonderful trip!

In all our trips, I've probably used Fast Pass four times (one was a "guest pass" from City Hall because Haunted Mansion was closed at MNSSHP and my kiddo was devastated - so she was welcomed back as a VIP).

Somtimes the fast pass machines aren't even hooked up, because crowd level is so light or because they're just flat out not functioning that day.

You'll see them right by the entrance to the rides - they're red, I think, and say "fast pass" on them - like an ATM machine. You just stick your park ticket in and it spits out a receipt like thing that says when you should return (usually there's a split of time - come back between 1-2pm to ride this ride). However, I never seem to be in the vicinity again, and we've found something else to do :) (But we do have little kids, so that makes a difference - we don't ride the "big" rides much).

If there is a ride we're dying to get on, we go there first. If it's packed, we might fast pass it for later in the morning. But, usually we can get on right away and scratch that off our list of "to do" (not a real "list" but you know what I mean).
